Keigo was lying in the courtyard during a lunch break on campus. He only went to campus once or twice a week because he had almost finished his fourth-year credits. Today, he had a seminar starting at noon, so he was killing time by lying on the bench after lunch.
“Ryosuke, let’s break up.”
A voice was heard near his ear.
Keigo laid down and glanced at the owner of the voice. It was Kotone, whom he had parted with three days ago at a coffee shop.

“Then tell me.”

Just listening to her story, there was no reason, and it was absurd. She was saying goodbye with tears on that cute, innocent face. “I won’t break up with you.”
When Keigo looked up, he met Suzuki’s eyes. Suzuki’s face, who’s always calm and collected, looked extremely upset. He didn’t give a damn for Kotone, who was crying in front of him. He walked out of the courtyard without reaching out to her.
Kotone, who was barely able to stand, fell on her feet to the ground and broke down crying as Suzuki left. A few college students, who had been watching from afar, kept their distance.
“As expected, I can’t forgive him.”
Kotone’s figure, about the average height of a girl, looked small. She wiped her eyes with the back of her hand and turned to Keigo. Her swollen eyes were wavering between wanting to denounce the affair and wanting to hide it for Keigo’s sake.

“Keigo kun, how long have you been watching?””
Kotone took the handkerchief from Keigo. She was red up to her ears, perhaps because she had been seen crying until now. As she wiped her tears with the handkerchief, she smiled calmly. The poorly crafted smile made her look even more innocent despite her age.

I felt bad for the Kotone who was embarrassed, but I also want to tease her a little. It’s like I’ve discovered the secret of the girl I like. Like a little mischief I felt when I was little.
“You looked so cute when you cried.”
“I won’t give you back your handkerchief.”
Kotone looked at him with an upward glance. Keigo is embarrassed because she doesn’t tkae her eyes off him.
“Kidding, I’ll wash it and give it back to you.”
Kotone laughed awkwardly. She wiped the tears left and right with a white handkerchief. Her makeup has peeled off a little, revealing her bare skin. She’s pretty enough without makeup. The face that won first place in the contest grabbed your heart even with teary eyes. Feeling embarrassed, she folded her handkerchief into four and put it in her bag. Behind it, I saw a yellow handkerchief.
“You have a handkerchief after all.”
When Kotone looked at her own handkerchief, she glanced alternately between Keigo and the handkerchief. She pricked her lips a little.
“That’s very kind of you, Keigo kun, so I’ll take your feelings.”
Kotone’s eyes were clearly swollen. It was as if she borrowed Keigo’s handkerchief without using her own. Not that he wasn’t conscious of it, but a feeling as if he wanted to connect with her. And it was nothing but to protect Keigo’s feelings. Why would Kotone hide it despite the obvious disadvantage? From her point of view, they are college students from the same seminar. They just happened to be in contact with each other because of the affair.
I never asked her not to say it. Is it because of sympathy alone?
The scent of Kotone’s hair spread to Keigo, who was about to pursue the matter. A small vibration. Then came the feeling of her arms, her breasts, and her body. Before he knew it, Kotone’s body was right next to Keigo’s.

I heard a voice behind me as I was hugging her. It was the last person I wanted to be seen with right now. There was no way I could mistake the voice I had heard for the past four years.
“Yumi, this is…….”
“Yumi san, it’s not what you think.”

Keigo slowly backed away from Kotone and turned toward Yumi. Kotone glanced at him as he turned around. There were tears welling up in her eyes.
