Synopsis
My childhood friend, whom I’d had feelings for over the past five years, started dating my best friend.
Unable to even confess his feelings, high school student Yuto Kasugai smiled and congratulated the couple. That day, he officially became a romantic loser—a “losing hero.”
Hiding his heartbreak, Yuto continues working part-time as usual at the coffee shop “Anemone.” There, he is approached by Rena Himuro, a flawless beauty who has just suffered a romantic defeat in her pursuit of the student council president.
“I’ll never fall in love again.”
As two people who understand the pain of heartbreak, they begin to pour out their lingering feelings and misery to one another. Eventually, Rena begins visiting the café on the days Yuto is working, and her interest in him gradually deepens.
Furthermore, starting with Hinata Natsume—a cheerful, beautiful girl who has a crush on a senior on the track and field team—girls from all over the school who have suffered heartbreak begin gathering at “Anemone” one by one.
Yuto listens to their stories of heartbreak, offers encouragement, and stands by these wounded girls. However, he himself doesn’t realize that he is becoming someone special to them.
This is the story of how a boy who has become a “losing hero” finds his part-time job turning into a “hangout for school’s losing heroines”—and how, eventually, the overwhelming affection of these girls, who have nowhere else to turn, becomes focused solely on him, who remains oblivious to it all.
