In a corner of a major general contractor and construction company.
Keigo and Kotone sat in the chairs they were led to. It was the same waiting room he had visited several times during his interviews. As one would expect from the largest general contractor, the waiting room also served as a business meeting space. There were many people in the waiting room today because it was the day before the holiday.
“Keigo kun, what would you like to drink?”

She stared at me with a meaningful expression. When she said “I know” does that mean she knows that I “like” her? Or is there another meaning?
“I know you have Yumi san, Keigo kun.”
Staring out the window into the distance. Keigo remembered the incident at the coffee shop. Come to think of it, the misunderstanding hasn’t yet been cleared up. Does Kotone think that Keigo still loves Yumi?
“Even so, Yumi san is amazing.”
“I was surprised.”
“It looks like we’re having an affair.”
She gave me a mischievous smile. I wonder if Kotone is happy to be misunderstood for having an affair. Naturally, I think that’s just a presumption. The truth is that Kotone and I doesn’t suit each other.
“What I said to Kotone chan wasn’t a lie.”

She stared at me with an expression that seemed to understand.
Understand my ass. If Kotone really likes me. I would be willing to give up everything to respond that feelings. Of course, Kotone is just being considerate, but it can’t be her real feelings
“Keigo kun and Yumi san are a perfect match after all.”
She puts her hands together and smiled happily.
I’m not sure if it was a misunderstanding or to restrain herself. It could be taken either way.
“Kotone is also a good match for Suzuki san.”

Now she reaches her hands to the desk and puts her face on it. I really don’t get tired of watching this.

“That’s when my father came in.”
“He likes Suzuki.”
“Because I’m an only child.”
“I wish I could have been a doctor.”
“But I’m a literature person. No matter how I enrolled, I couldn’t do it.”
“Well, I’m originally a literature major.”
“That’s how we started dating.”
It was almost like a political marriage.
I thought the two of them were in love with each other.
“That’s why I can’t break up without some big reason, like an affair or something.”
So that’s how they got into such a messy breakup.
“The president is calling you.”
The secretary with the glasses I had seen earlier approached us. I walked beside Kotone with a nervous look on my face. Soon, the door to the president’s office came into view.
