Episode 30 – Got carried away and turned the handle too far

As the night went on, we left my grandma’s house and came to Kurashiki Milano Park. It was summer vacation, and the park seemed to be reasonably crowded.

“Well, let’s go inside right away.”

“The three of us are going to have a lot of fun today, aren’t we?”

“Theme parks are always exciting, no matter how old you are.”

Reona and Riona were as excited as if they were children. Incidentally, since they had already purchased admission tickets for unlimited rides to the attractions at the Internet store, there was no need to go to the trouble of waiting in line at the counter.

After showing the printed ticket and passing through the entrance gate, a large Ferris wheel and a roller coaster came into view.

“Which one should I ride first?”

“There are so many to choose from, I honestly don’t know.”

“Let’s just look at the brochures and think about it.”

We started talking about which attraction we would ride, and after some discussion, we decided on Viking as our first memorable attraction.

We walk over to the Viking and see a long line of people waiting to get in.

“Viking seems to be very popular,”

“Looks like it’s going to be a long wait.”

“After all, everyone loves the screamers.”

Considering that the roller coasters and water rides we passed by on our way here also had long lines, it seems that the scream machines are very popular.

We were not sure whether we would ride the roller coaster or not when we saw the length of the line, but we decided to wait for a while.

“By the way, the school festival is coming up soon after the summer vacation, isn’t it?”

“I see, I thought it was still quite a while away, but it’s already that time of the year.”

I heard Reona’s words and realized that the school festival was coming soon. The school festival of our school is held for a total of three days: two days for the cultural part, which is equivalent to the cultural festival, and one day for the athletic part, which is equivalent to the athletic festival.

The cultural part includes plays, class exhibitions, and stage presentations, while the physical education part includes relays, tug-of-war, creative dance, and other competitions.

The first-year students are in charge of class exhibitions, the second-year students are in charge of plays, and the third-year students are in charge of creative dances, and they compete against each other for points.

“Does that mean we’ll have to spend the rest of the school day after school preparing for the festival like last year?”

“This year is a play, so we have a lot more to prepare than last year.”

Riona was right, we must spend a lot of time preparing costumes, props, and practicing. I’m going to have to work with my classmates, so it’s going to be a hard time for me as a loner.

After waiting for a while while chatting like that, it was finally our turn.

After the safety bar was lowered, an announcement was made to start the ride, and the boat slowly began to rock.

At first, the rocking was small and not so scary, but it gradually became more and more violent.

“It’s pretty violent. ……”

“That’s good right.”

In contrast to Riona, whose face was a little stiff, Reona looked quite happy.

“That was fun. Let’s go to the coffee cup next.”

“It’s hard to have two screamers in a row, so let’s do that.”

“I agree.”

We got off the Viking and decided to go to Coffee Cup at Reona’s suggestion. We walked around chatting and arrived in front of the coffee cup, and the attendant immediately guided us to our seats in the coffee cup.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been on a coffee cup.”

“Well, going to a theme park doesn’t always mean riding in a coffee cup, does it?”

“It’s been a while for me and onee chan”

After waiting for a while, the coffee cup starts to move slowly. Reona began to turn the handle.

“It’s been a while, but it’s more fun than I thought it would be.”

Reona was quite excited as she continued to spin the wheel, and the coffee cup continued to spin in tandem with it.

The scenery around me kept changing in tandem with it, so just sitting there and watching it was enjoyable in its own way.

“Hey, Ryoya kun, why don’t you and Riona spin the wheel together?”

“Okay.”

“Sure. I’m not going to lie, it’s a shame to just sit and watch.”

The three of us started turning the handle in the center of the coffee cup.

“It sure is a lot of fun to just spin the wheel.”

“It’s kind of addictive.”

We continued to spin the handle until the coffee cup stopped. After that, we got off the coffee cup, but here comes the problem.

“Ugh, I feel sick …….”

“nee chan, are you okay?”

“I guess I got carried away and turned the wheel too much.”

It seems that Reona got drunk from the spinning of the coffee cups, and she feels quite sick.

“Carbonated soda is effective for motion sickness. I’ll go to a nearby vending machine and buy some, so you and Ryoya can wait on the bench.”

“Okay, I’ll wait here with Reona.”

After saying this, Riona went to look for a vending machine. I let Reona lie down on the bench and fall on my knees.

“You have a long day ahead of you, so don’t push yourself too hard.”

“Thank you, Ryoya-kun.”

I was concerned about the eyes of those around me, but Reona’s health was more important to me, so I held her hand and stayed with her until Riona came back to me.
