“Shindo kun !”
I was awakened by someone calling my name.
I woke up and saw that it was Shishido sensei from the infirmary.
I looked at the clock to see that it was just before the end of lunch break.
I was definitely more comfortable than before because I had been asleep for quite a long time, but I still felt sick.
“Oh……Shishido sensei.”
“Erm…I asked the girl earlier, but you’re Shindo kun, right?”
“Yes. I’m Shindo Kei.”
It’s the first time Shishido sensei and I have talked, so I said so.
“How are you feeling?”
“Well……it’s a lot better than it was before, but I still don’t feel very well.”
“Then can I just take your temperature?”
Shishido sensei said so and handed me a thermometer.
“I understand.”
The thermometer showed that my temperature was 37.6 degrees Celsius.
It’s gone down a lot.
I guess it’s a low grade fever, right?
“It’s 37.6 degrees Celsius. I guess you won’t be able to go to class today.”
“Yes. I guess so.”
“Then you should go home and rest today……can your father or mother come to pick you up?”

If it’s my dad, of course it’s impossible, but what about my mom?
Come to think of it, she’s going to be busy because she said she’s going to finish work today.
Well, with my current condition, I should be able to walk home.
Depending on the situation, I could call a cab……I don’t think that would be necessary, though.

“Okay. I’ll take you home then, so go get ready. I’ll get your bag from your classroom.”

Shishido sensei said that with a very kind expression on her face.
She’s such a good teacher…I honestly thought so.
After that, I told Shishido sensei what should be taken home, and she picked it up from the classroom and dropped me off at home.

“Also, just in case, when Shindo kun was sleeping during lunch break, three girls came to see you because they were worried.”
Those three people are Yui, Mitsuki and Akari, I guess.
All three of them came to see me.

“Then I’m going back to school.”
“Yes.”
After saying that, Shishido sensei went back to the school and I went into the house.
–Then, I immediately went to my room, changed my clothes, and lay down on the bed.
“Ah, now that I think about it, I have to say something to Yui and the others.”
Shishido sensei went to the classroom, so maybe tey knew I was going home, but just in case.
I’m sure they won’t reply since they are in class at the time, so I’ll just send them a word and go to sleep.
Shishido sensei told me that Yui and the others came to see me during lunch break.
So I opened a group chat and sent a message.
[Shishido sensei took me home first, so you don’t have to worry about me.]
I sent that and then took the cold medicine I had brought and went back to sleep.

“Fwuah.”
When I woke up and looked outside, it was already quite dark.
I looked at my watch and saw that it was past 7pm.
“I must’ve slept like crazy…….”
But thanks to that, I’m feeling much better.
I don’t feel sick, and the headache that used to hurt a little is gone.
I took my temperature with the thermometer in my room.
“36.8 degrees. Looks like I’ll be fine now.”
It looks like I’ll be able to go to school tomorrow without any problems.
I’m really glad it’s nothing serious.
“Speaking of which, has Mom come home yet?”
I thought so and left my room.
She wasn’t in the living room either, so I went to the front door and found no shoes, so I guessed she hadn’t come home yet.
“Well, she said today was her last day, so I guess she’s busy…..”
I wasn’t very hungry, so I took just two loaves of bread and went back to my room.
When I got back to my room, I picked up my phone.
There were several calls on my phone, including one from my mom.
[Kei, Sorry, I’m going to get home late today, so I’ll eat dinner by myself.]

She’s at work, so the shorter the text, the better.
Anyway, my mom tends to apologize to me when she gets busy with work-related things, but there’s no need to do that.

I immediately decided to check the contents.
[I got Shishido sensei to drop me off and went home first, so don’t worry, I’ll be fine.]

I feel like Akari is the only one using honorifics……
Well, she’s always using honorifics, so I guess it’s not that different.

[I just woke up and my fever was 36.8 degrees, and I’m feeling better now, so I think I’ll be able to go to school tomorrow without any problems. Thank you for worrying about me]
When I sent the message, three replies came back in an instant.
