“Haa, I might be feeling a little sick…….”
I came to school, I was in class, and now it’s the third period……I was starting to feel a little sick.
It was a usual morning, but it happened suddenly.
Yui noticed me and handed me a piece of paper.
I looked at the piece of paper and wondered what it was.
‘What’s wrong? Are you sick? You can go to the insurance office, so don’t strain yourself. I’m worried about you too.’
After I looked at it, I looked at Yui and she had a worried look on her face.
After seeing Yui like that, I wrote on a piece of paper.
‘I’m sorry for worrying you. But I’m only a little uncomfortable, so it’s fine.’
I handed it to Yui.
Then Yui looked at it and became miffed, started writing again, and handed it to me when she was done.
‘No ! I don’t want anything to happen to Kei kun either, so you have to rest properly ! We’ll go to the insurance office after class !’

After the third period class, Yui took me to the infirmary.
“Kei kun. It looks like the nurse in the nurse’s office won’t be here in the morning, so please lie down on the bed for now.
I checked with the other teacher earlier and they told me to use a thermometer to measure your fever and let you rest on the bed.”
“Yeah.”
I’m obviously feeling worse than I was at the beginning of class earlier…….
And Yui came here from the classroom to lend me a shoulder, but I wonder if she’ll be okay.
I didn’t see it because I didn’t have time, but I think Koudo saw it……
With that in mind, I spoke to Yui, who was looking for a thermometer.
“Hey, Yui?”
“What?”
“You lent me your shoulder in class earlier, are you okay with that?”
“What do you mean by that?
“Erm……it’s about Koudo……he and I had a lot of problems before.”
I said that and Yui approached me with a thermometer without saying anything.
“Here. Take your temperature with this.”
“Okay.”
Then I started to take my temperature.
“I’m dating Kei kun, so I’m gonna put him first no matter what happens. Even if Sora says something about it, that won’t change. Besides, lately I’ve been thinking that it’s okay for Sora to find out…I think I’ll have to say it eventually anyway. For the most part, Kei kun is sitting next to me, and even though I’m your girlfriend now, we’ve always been friends, so I think it’s not so different. Sora and I aren’t even dating.”
Yui smiled gently at me as she said this.
“I see…….”
“Yeah…….”
Then the thermometer beeped.
“It’s 38.0 degrees Celsius.”
My normal temperature is in the low 36s, so 38 degrees is pretty high.
“I’ll be back in a minute, Kei kun. I can’t go through the medicine without permission, so I’ll wet a towel and bring it to you.”
“Thank you…….”
Come to think of it, I haven’t had a fever in a while.
I’ve not had one in my previous life for more than a decade…….

I’m still lightheaded and tired, even though I’m feeling better after laying down to sleep.

“You can put it on your forehead.”
“Yeah.”
Then Yui slowly put a wet and cold towel on my forehead.
“Kei kun. I’ll tell the teacher, so take a good rest.”
“Thanks. I’ll do that.”
“Then, the next class will start in a little while, so I’m gonna go now.”
“Okay.”
“I’ll be back again.”
Then Yui left the infirmary.

★Koudo Akari (side)
I was about to join Yui san and Mitsuki san after my fourth period class, but they seemed to be taking me somewhere.
“Yui san? Mitsuki san? Where are you going? It doesn’t seem to be the empty classroom where Shindo senpai always is, does it?”
When I asked that, Mitsuki san answered first.
“Akari chan. Since the end of third period today, Kei has been sick and sleeping in the infirmary.”
“Eh? Is Shindo senpai alright?”
Yui san was next to answer such a question.
“I’m not sure, but his temperature was 38 degrees Celsius.”
“I see it’s pretty high……so you’re heading to the infirmary now?”
“Yeah……well, if Kei kun is sleeping, I’ll just change the towel and head back. I can’t wake him up, and the nurse will be back by the time lunch break ends.”

Yui san, Mitsuki san and I went to the infirmary together.
–We arrived, so the three of us entered the infirmary.
When I entered the infirmary, Shindo senpai was sleeping on one of the beds.
He’s usually so cool, so I thought it was a little cute to see him sleeping.
“He’s sleeping…..”
“He is.”
“Well then, it can’t be helped. Let’s change the towels and then quietly head back.”
Mitsuki san and I nodded without saying anything to Yui san’s words.
“I’ll take care of the towels, so Yui san and Mitsuki san please go back first.”
“You sure? I’ll leave it to you then, Akari chan.”
“Thanks, Akari chan !”
“Yes !”
I then decided to take the towel that was on top of Shindo senpai’s forehead and replace it.
“Okay ! I’m sure that’s all right.”
After replacing the towel, I looked at him carefully.
“Shindo senpai……”
Usually I would be too embarrassed to look at him from such a close distance, but not now.
Since Shindo senpai is sleeping, I can watch as much as I like.
“Anyway, you’re dating Yui san…”
When I spoke to Yui san yesterday and learned that Shindo senpai was open about dating the three of us, I was really surprised, and at the same time, I was really happy.
I have to do my best too…before the summer vacation…I’m not really sure, but I want to at least be able to confess my feelings during the summer vacation.

I thought it would be okay if Shindo senpai was sleeping, but I was still very embarrassed.

“My heartbeat is so loud…it’s echoing all the way to my head…”
Looking at Shindo senpai makes my heart pound too much and it’s not good……
I felt embarrassed thinking that and left the infirmary in a hurry.
–I was in a daze as I walked in the hallway.
“Haa.”
First kiss…..that was my first kiss.
I feel like it’s a bit of a waste that my first kiss was with someone that was sleeping, but I feel really warm. Because I got to kiss someone that I like.
I’m unbelievably happy that I was able to kiss Shindo senpai.
Happy……I understand what Yui san meant when she said that.
Because right now I’m at the point where I can’t even think about anything else but Shindo senpai.
But if it’s like this now, it’s going to take a while before I can kiss Shindo senpai when he’s awake……
“Haa, it’s so hot…….”
I was thinking about this as I headed to where Yui san and Mitsuki san were.
