That’s why I decided to go home with Kaoru after school.
“Thank you, Kaito kun.”
“Eh? I mean……for what?”
“For coming home with me.”
Kaoru said this with a slight smile.
“It’s fine. It’s fun for me to be with Kaoru.”
“I see. Then I’m glad.”
“If you say so, I’m also glad.”
“fufu, I see. Then I guess it’s mutual. Ah ! Kaito kun.”
“What is it?”
“Do you have time after this? Or do you have to go home soon because you have something to do?”
I have free time every day after school, let alone after this.
I don’t really have any hobbies, so I just stay at home and play with my smartphone.

Sure, this is completely imaginary, but I can’t imagine Yamazaki going to a very adult café.
On the other hand, Kaoru liking cafes is a pretty good interpretation of what I think.
“Well, then, let’s go to that café.”
“Is that okay?”
“Of course it’s fine. If Kaoru wants to go, I’ll go with you.”
“Thank you, Kaito kun.”
We continued walking to the café.
“By the way, Kaito kun. What were you talking about with Hitomi chan? You didn’t seem to get along at school, so I waited in the hallway to see you two talking.”
“Ah, that, it’s not a big deal at all. However, we had to turn in our notebooks today, right? And since I hadn’t submitted it, Hitomi just came to pick it up.”
“I see…..so that.”
“Ah, Kaoru calls her Hitomi chan, are you two good friends?”
“I think so. We are good friends, at least I think we are. We’ve been together since high school and it’s still for a short time, but when I was spending less time with Shin, that’s when we became friends. I’m sure Kaoru, Hitomi and Kirara will get along with each other no matter which route I take as far as I know.
Kirara and Hitomi don’t seem to be friends yet, but I’m sure they’ll get along soon…..probably.
Speaking of which, have Yamazaki and Hitomi talked yet? I’m a little curious, but I’m with Kaoru, so I guess it’s nothing to worry about now.
“Oh yeah. Kaito kun, do you have any favorite things or hobbies?”
Kaoru suddenly asked me that.
“Why’s that?”
“I just wanted to know.”
Favorite things or a hobby…I guess I don’t have one.
I do some muscle training because I have acquired the habits of Kaito Wangou, but I don’t particularly like it.
It’s just a daily routine, and if you imagine it, it’s similar to cleaning a few times a week.
I like cleanliness, but I don’t particularly like cleaning…that’s kind of the image I get.
“No……I don’t have any hobbies that I can say.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, that’s why I’m basically free every day after school and on holidays. I don’t go out for fun, and when I do go out, it’s for shopping or eating out.”

When I said that, Kaoru looked a little sad.
“Kaoru? What’s wrong?”
“Nothing. I just remembered that Kaito kun lives alone…….”

“By the way, were you okay after we got home on Friday? I suddenly ran into your mother.”
“Everythings fine with my mother. I told her about Kaito kun beforehand. Ah…..but I can’t really say that thing…”
When Kaoru was about to say the last word, she seemed to be remembering something, and her face turned red with embarrassment.

“Kaito kun. We are almost at the café we wanna go to.”

No, I don’t go to cafés very often……but I like coffee, so I drink a lot.”
“So you like coffee too, Kaito kun?”
“I like coffee a lot.”
Kaoru too? I was about to ask her, but I stopped thinking that if she went to various cafes, she must like them.

“Here it is !”
The café was a retro-style café, and it was definitely a very mature café, the kind of café that high school students wouldn’t go to.
But I recognized this café……
Because this café is where Kirara works.
I think the reason was that this café would not be seen by students.
I also thought that teachers might be more likely to come here instead, but I was told that the population of students and teachers is vastly different.

It’s not impossible that Kirara might have told Kaoru that she was working part-time here, but it’s unlikely……

I feel bad for Kaoru if she was here…..I was thinking to myself.

“I know, right? I think so too !”
“Shall we go in then?”
“Yeah !”
So Kaoru and I went inside the café.
