Episode 29 – Ah, could it be that one of them is Ryoya’s girlfriend?

Continuing our stroll through the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, I found myself in the evening. The scenery at dusk is a little different from that of the daytime.

“We’ve done a lot of walking today, and we’re tired, aren’t we?”
“The three of us have seen quite a lot.”
“It was fun.”

Reona and Riona looked satisfied, which made me quite happy as usual. It’s a good thing I brought them along.

“Shall we move on to today’s lodgings?”
“Yes, Ryoya kun, please show me the way.”

We began walking toward Kurashiki station while chatting. Today the three of us are going to stay at my grandmother’s house. I told my grandma that I was planning to visit Kurashiki soon, and she said it would be okay for us to stay there.
Incidentally, I had told her in advance that I would be traveling with two other people, so there were no problems in that area. We arrived at Kurashiki station and took the train to the east.
We got off the train and continued walking for a while until we arrived at a house in a quiet residential area.

“Hey, you two, we’re here.”
“Hee, this is Ryoya-kun’s grandmother’s house?”
“It’s so beautiful, with all the plants growing in the yard.”

Listening to the two of them talking about their impressions of the house, I pressed the intercom under the nameplate “Kamiki”

“Yes, this is Kamiki.”
“Ah, grandma. It’s me, Ryoya.”
“Ryoya huh, I’ll unlock the door in a minute, please wait for me.”

The grandmother on the other end of the intercom says this in her thick Okayama dialect, then immediately opens the front door and comes out.

“You’ve come a long way, how are you?”
“Yes, I’m glad to see you’re doing well too, grandma.”
“…… By the way, is the tall woman behind Ryoya the companion that Ryoya was talking about?”

The grandmother seemed to be concerned about the presence of the girls behind me. I immediately began to explain.

“Oh yes, we are classmates from the same high school and came to the open campus of Kurashiki City University all together.”
“Nice to meet you, I’m a classmate of Ryoya-kun’s and my name is Tsurugi Reona.”
“My name is Tsurugi Riona.”

The two introduced themselves respectively. Grandma, who was listening to them, opened her mouth with a look of admiration.

“You are a polite young lady, aren’t you?, I am Ryoya’s grandmother.”
“Ryoya-kun’s grandmother, please take care of me tonight.”
“This is a small present for you.”

Reona and Riona handed over the folded sweets that they had put in a paper bag. Then the grandmother looked quite happy.

“Thank you, you really are a good girl,. Oh, by any chance, are either of you Ryoya’s girlfriends?”
“N-no, I’m not Ryoya’s girlfriend. …… I’m going to be his girlfriend”
“No …… but we will be Ryoya’s girlfriend.”

The two were in a panic with all their might after hearing these outrageous words from grandma. The latter half of the conversation was too quiet to hear what she was saying, but she probably must have been denying it.

“Well, well, I’ll be looking forward to seeing my great-grandchildren.”
“T-that’s enough of your mangling of the two of them.”

When I saw Reona and Riona blushing in embarrassment, I couldn’t help but say so. But since the grandmother was still grinning, my words probably didn’t have much effect.

“……, hey, I’ve been watching you for a while now, is it that interesting?”
“Of course it’s interesting.”
“Yeah, it’s pretty fun because we get to see the Ryoya we don’t know.”

After dinner and bath at my grandma’s house, Reona and Riona kept looking at the pictures of my childhood.
There were pictures of me, Mio, my grandmother, and my grandfather who died a few years ago, mostly taken when I was in preschool and elementary school.

“Ryoya in these pictures around here has all these weird faces.”
“Ah, that’s what I thought, too. I think he’s doing it on purpose.”
“…… I don’t remember the details too well, but I think I did it because it was popular in my class in elementary school to make funny faces in the pictures.”

What the two of them are looking at now is a picture from when I went to play at Ritsurin Park in Takamatsu when I was in the early elementary school years. I felt nostalgic looking at the photo, but at the same time, it made me feel extremely embarrassed.

“Hey, I’m pretty sure that’s Ritsurin Park. ……”

If I remember correctly, there was a happening. And unfortunately, I think the whole thing was captured in a photo.
If they read the album any further, they might see my embarrassing appearance.
So I hurriedly tried to stop Reona and Riona, but unfortunately I couldn’t do it in time.

“Oh, Ryoya’s face is all scrunched up and he’s crying.”
“Ah, it looks like he dropped the soft ice cream he was eating on the ground. Poor Ryoya kun.”
“…… Oh no, I’m so embarrassed I’m going to die.”

I was in agony on the spot as my black history was seen with all my might. It’s a level that makes me feel like my face is about to catch fire and I want to say I want to kill myself all over again.
Seeing me like that, the two of them were laughing happily. Reona and Riona must be, or definitely must be, S.
In the end, the girls had conquered all the albums in my grandmother’s house. Needless to say, it made them know about my embarrassing past one after another.
