The time was exactly 10 o’clock.
As I was sitting on a bench in front of the station where we were to meet, I saw a girl I recognized running toward me from the front.
It was Amano Natsumi.
She was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and jeans. Her hair was short-cut, but the roundness around her waist was clearly that of a woman, but I felt a little uncomfortable with Natsumi’s outfit today.
“Sorry to keep you waiting~”
“Don’t worry, I just got here too.”
“Really? I’m glad to hear it.”
“Was it the aquarium today?”
“Yes! Then, let’s go.”
So Natsumi and I started walking toward the aquarium.
“I think you look good today, but don’t you feel different from usual?”
“Really? I’m usual though..”
I looked around Natsumi to find out what that feeling of discomfort was, and then I found it.
“Natsumi-san was wearing glasses. You didn’t have it on at the time of launch”
“Eh glasses? …… Oh, these glasses are fake. They are fashionable, aren’t they?”
Natsumi pushes up her glasses and asks me that.
That figure was so cute that my heart fluttered and froze for a moment.
“I see. …….”
“Eh?”
“That’s right, Shouma isn’t wearing glasses today.”
“Ah~, yeah. I’m not in the mood for glasses today.”
Yes, I did not wear glasses today.
For some reason, I wanted to interact with Natsumi without those glasses.
“Let’s hurry up, then.”
We arrived at the aquarium without incident, and the first thing we did was go to the section where we could feed the otters.
Natsumi was excited to be able to touch the little otter’s hand every time she offered him food, and from a little while ago she had been saying, “How cute!” Natsumi was so excited.
She looked so cute, like a small child.
“Oh, it’s gone…”
While we were having this conversation, the food we had purchased seemed to have run out, and Natsumi let out a disappointed sound, but the otter continued to look for food, holding out its small hand, saying, “Give me more.”
“…Can I give everything to this child?”
Natsumi, who was on the verge of being knocked out by the glazed eyes of the otter, tried to buy food again, saying, “I have plenty of money,” but there were other customers, and she couldn’t stay here forever.
“Okay, okay, let’s go next time. We’ve come a long way, so let’s go see others okay?”
“Ugh…I’m sorry, Kotsume-chan. I’ll never forget you.”
“Why are you talking to it? Let’s go~.”
I grabbed Natsumi’s unskilled arm and helped her stand up, and we started walking to the next corner.
Unfortunately, the otter that had been getting food from Natsumi was already giving charm to the parent and child who came from behind. That’s the way it is.
“Wow! Pretty!”
After visiting the outdoor area with penguins, seals, and other animals, we next came to the indoor area.
The museum is currently holding an event, and the sight of many jellyfish swimming in the huge tanks, lit up with lights, is fantastic.
When I ran up to one of them, Natsumi was snuggled up to the tank like a child, staring intently into the water.
“Oh! There they are! Shoma, come on, come on!”
“Huh? What? Aren’t they all the same?”
“It’s not the same at all! Hurry!”
I lined up next to Natsumi, who beckoned me with such haste, and said, “Look at that! Look! “She pointed at one of the floating jellyfish. They all look the same.
“….eh? Which one?”
“There’s one with a pattern of five umbrellas!”
“Umbrella…? Oh! It’s true!”
Upon closer inspection, the pattern on the umbrellas of most water jellyfish is like a four-leaf clover, but the jellyfish Natsumi pointed to had a five-leaf pattern.
“Those are the stomachs of jellyfish, but sometimes there are five, six, or even three.”
“Hee…eh, is that a jellyfish’s stomach?!”
“They change color when you feed them, so it’s easy to tell.”
“Hee.”
It’s interesting, like looking for a reverse four-leaf clover.
I wondered if there was a way to have fun like that, and I was looking for something I could find too.
“Ah! Shoma, this way! Over here!”
Natsumi, who is in a different tank before I know it, is beckoning me again.
When did she move? She is a child after all.
This time, unlike the huge tank of jellyfish, she was squatting over a small, round tank, so I squatted down next to her.
“So cute!”
There it was, a chin sea eel.
The way it repeatedly came in and out of the ground was so adorable.
And Natsumi, who was cackling like a child, not only looked cute, but her profile was shining and beautiful, perhaps because she was lit up in the dimly lit museum.
Then, as I was walking around the museum
“I’m going to the restroom, wait for me.”
Natsumi went to the restroom, so I decided to wait for her in a nearby chair.
