I was bracing myself for too many things to happen on the first day of the school festival, but as for the second day, it had ended without any particular incident.
“……Reona and Riona, no matter how I look at it, it was as usual, wasn’t it?”
Yes, even though it was the day after what happened, the two of them were unnaturally normal. When I asked them about the deep kiss and the words that it was okay to be misunderstood, they just kept repeating that I would find out everything at the party later that night.
“What in the world is going to happen at the festival ……?”
The three days of the school festival are basically mandatory, with the exception of the after-party. That’s why I went home without participating last year, so I don’t really know what to do in the first place.
“I’m sure I’ll know the answer later tonight, but I’m just curious.”
Because of this, I didn’t sleep at all last night and am completely sleep deprived. The plan is to go on a tripod with Reona from now on, but I wonder if it is really safe to run in such a condition.
While I was doing some light preparatory exercises with this in mind, Reona came over to me with a beaming smile on her face.
“Ryoya-kun, let’s definitely win first place together, okay?”

There are various things that bother me, but for now, I have to concentrate on the three-legged race that is in front of me. Then we start final adjustments at the edge of the ground.
I was not able to concentrate at all on the tripod practice because I was reminded of the deep kiss when I was in close contact with Reona, but on the contrary, Reona and I were in perfect sync.
Or, to be more precise, I should say that Reona perfectly matched my movements and controlled my breathing so that we would be in perfect sync.
I think it’s extremely difficult to match the movements of another person, but Reona does it with a nonchalant expression on her face, which is truly amazing.

“Yes, let’s show everyone how good we are together.”
We then followed her lead and took our starting positions for the tripod. And at the sound of the pistol, I started running with Reona.
There were 10 pairs on the field, including ours, and Reona and I were by far the fastest of them all.
In no time at all, we had completed half a lap of the ground and were almost at the finish line when a problem occurred. Reona suddenly lost her balance and almost fell.
“Watch out!?”
She looked like she was about to hit the ground, but I quickly wrapped my arms around her from the side, and managed to stop her from falling.
Instead, the string came undone with all my might, and considering the time it would take to tie it back together, unfortunately, the bottom spot was almost guaranteed.
“Ryoya, I’m sorry. It’s my fault the string got untied. ……”
“Don’t worry about it, I’m glad Reona didn’t get hurt. Rather, let’s get our heads back on straight and run.”
I encouraged Reona, who had a frustrated expression on her face. Then, Reona’s expression became slightly brighter and she opened her mouth.
“Thank you, let’s show everyone how well we work together until the end,”
“Yeah, and let’s stay calm so we don’t fall down this time.”
We tied our laces back together and started running together again. The other runners had already reached the finish line, so we were the only ones running on the field.
However, we were not embarrassed at all because we could hear many people around us cheering for us to do our best. We were greeted with applause and attracted the attention of the whole school.

“Onee chan, you were trying to fall on purpose.”
“Oh, I knew Riona would know.”
“I and onee chan are twins, so I know what she’s thinking.”
Riona was right. I deliberately lost my balance during the two tripods. I wanted to be hugged by Ryoya in front of everyone just as much as Riona did.
Riona had made Ryoya hug her by deliberately losing her balance on the trick art floor, and I did exactly the same thing.
The reason I did that was because I wanted to get a hug from Ryoya in front of all the students and parents. Needless to say, I am in a good mood now because everything went as planned.
“In the beginning, people used to look at us and Ryoya-kun together with a lot of stares, but recently it’s becoming more accepted, which is a good trend.”
“The external walls has been filled in a lot, so it’s worth all the hard work we’ve put in so far.”
Since we can already say that the foundation is almost complete, we intend to take the next step later this evening. We can now take a big step toward our ultimate goal of making Ryoya-kun our own.
There are still many concerns, but we’ll have to think about them later. Anyway, I am sure that the relationship between us sisters and Ryoya-kun will change decisively this evening.

Riona had a bewitching expression on her face that she couldn’t let others see for a moment. Perhaps I must have the same expression on my face.
