Episode 5 – Bluntness and Innocence

With these words, Sol turned toward Celes and pulled her head into his chest, hugging her close. He then stroked Celes’ head as if to gently soothe her. He simply wanted to reassure Celes, who was so worried about him.

Celes said just that and fearfully grabbed Sol’s clothes. And then she heard a heartbeat.

Celes knew that in truth, if she hugged Sol, Sol would become conscious. Celes did not miss the fact that Sol had blushed a little when she hugged him as soon as he woke up.

So, wanting to make him more aware of her, she hugged Sol, innocently acting as herself, happy that Sol was alive. In that way, she wanted to make him like her, to spoil him, to make him dependent on her, so that he would never leave her side again.

But this would only make her drown more deeply.

Even as she thought this, she felt Sol’s hand caressing her head, and closed her eyes. The smell of Sol’s sweat and the sound of his heartbeat made her feel helplessly relieved to realize that he was alive. And since she hadn’t slept for a while, Celes fell asleep quickly in Sol’s arms.

“Hey, Sol. I have an appointment with Lepios and Carla. Do you want to come with me, Sol?”

Celes said this to Sol a few days after Sol woke up.

The meeting place was a bridge a short distance away from Pasionia. And Pasionia was Sol’s hometown and the first town near the tower that he would visit when the story for the back boss started.

“Of course! Because I want to meet them both, too!”

Sol is a little embarrassed and scratches his head. Sol had never received a present from a woman who had prepared it for him. Moreover, it is a present from the most liked character. There was no way he wasn’t happy.

Celes glanced at Sol’s expression and then snapped the ring on the bag into the button hole on Sol’s jacket pocket.

“I’m sure this will protect you,”

Sol once again looks at what Celes gave him. There were items called ornaments in this world, but even if he traced his memories of his previous life, he had never found anything like this.
