“Sorry Yui chan, you had to accompany me shopping.”
“No, no. That’s fine !”
I was currently shopping for ingredients for dinner with Kei kun’s mother, Marina san.
“We were planning on having curry today, are you okay with that, Yui chan?”
“Yes, I’m fine ! I love curry.”
“I’m glad to hear that. Do you have a preference for sweet or dry?”
“I like both, so either one is fine ! Which one does Kei kun like better?”
In any case, I’d rather eat with the one Kei kun likes than my opinion…….
“Kei prefers sweet.”
“Then let’s have the sweet one !”

I said so with a smile, and Marina san said so with a smile too.
“Marina san ! Shall I help you with the cooking?”
“Can you cook, Yui chan?”
“Yes ! I’m pretty good at i t! Well, I have a friend who is a very good cook, but I’m not as good as her.”
I’m confident that I’m a pretty good cook because I cook myself, but compared to Mitsuki, I’m nothing.
Of course, I know that Mitsuki has been trying her best to please her parents since she was little, so I respect her honestly and not out of jealousy. And she cooks for me sometimes.

–Marina san and I finished shopping and were walking toward the Shindo house.

“Yes, they are ! Akari chan and I have been friends for years, and Mitsuki and I have been best friends for a little over a year. To be honest, we are as important to each other as family and best friends !”
“I see. I’d like to meet them someday too….since they seem to be good friends with Kei.”

“I think if Marina san wants to meet you, the two of them will meet you anytime you want…….”
“I see. But I’m gonna be busy at work again starting tomorrow, and I have to leave again in four days.”
