“Arara, what’s wrong, Kaede?”
Kagurazaka Kaede was taking a full-on break on the hotel lobby sofa, barely thirty minutes after arriving. Her face looked like she’d gotten overheated in the bath.
“Uuuuugh, I saw something I shouldn’t have…”
Kagurazaka’s mother stroked her moaning daughter’s head. The scene was kind of heartwarming.
“Touka, you need to reflect on this!”
“Ugh… I mustered up all my courage too!”
“You mustered up courage for something completely different!”
Still, what are we going to do now? The host had collapsed.
“For now, let’s go to the room and drop off our luggage. Here, these are the card keys for your room. Get settled, and let’s meet up again in an hour.”
“Thank you!”
Kagurazaka’s mother handed Toka the room card keys. For now, it seemed Kagurazaka would rest in the room.
“There are welcome drinks over there. Shall we go get some?”
“Welcome drinks?”
“Yeah, those drinks over there. You can drink as much as you like. It’s the hotel’s hospitality.”
“Huh… wow~”
Oh no, she found out I knew nothing. So that’s what luxury hotels do…
“Ryo-kun, shall we go?”
Toka, who seemed perfectly at ease in this kind of place, remained completely composed.
…Somehow, I felt a slight sense of a status difference.

The moment I entered the room, an exclamation of awe slipped out of my mouth.
A room entirely glass-walled. Beyond the expansive windows lay a vast, azure sea. A large balcony held a sofa and table, perfect for relaxing while feeling the sea breeze. And next to it? A private open-air bath just for this room! Wooden accents throughout gave it this hybrid Japanese-Western vibe!
“Toka, look! You can see the ocean from here too!”
“Uuuu… I kissed you again on impulse.”
“Hey!”
Toka collapsed onto the bed the moment she entered the room. True to her former child star status, she didn’t show it on her face, but it seemed she’d taken quite a hit herself. Well, it was self-inflicted, but still!?
“Anyway, I’m writing ‘Don’t kiss in public’ in your training notebook!”
“J-just so you know, I don’t need you to write down something that obvious!”
“Recall what happened just a few minutes ago!”
I pulled the training notebook out of my bag and added a new entry! Why the hell did I even bring this training notebook here?! Dammit, instead of the entries decreasing, they just keep piling up. At this rate, I’ll be starting a second notebook soon.
“Whoa! The number of amenities is insane! Toka, is it okay to use all of this!?”
Still, just looking around the room is so much fun! I get to stay here. I’ll take pictures later and brag to Yuzuha.
“Ahahaha, Ryo-kun, you’re so cute.”
Tohka teased me with a supremely relaxed expression.
“Hmph. Toka might be used to staying at hotels like this, but it’s my first time!”
“Ryo-kun, what matters on a trip isn’t the room, it’s who you’re with.”
“Wait, you’re suddenly spouting some kind of profound quote!?”
Toka started rolling around on the bed, grinning. Ugh, ugh, that fancy-looking bed’s already been invaded by Toka.
…Yeah, I tried not to think about it, but no matter how many times I look, there’s only one bed. I knew it, but looks like I’m sleeping in the same bed as Toka tonight.
“I could just stay here lounging around all day~”
Completely relaxed, Toka turned her back to me and wriggled her way under the covers. Ugh, you’re going to wrinkle your clothes. Today, Toka was wearing that light blue dress she had on when we went to the local festival together before. She seemed attached to it and hadn’t worn it since that day, but today she was rocking it cutely.
“Hey, we’re supposed to meet in an hour. You gotta get changed and ready soon.”
Saying that, I spread my stuff out on the bench beside the bed. We’re going to the beach, so a T-shirt and shorts should be fine.
“Ryo-kun, put sunscreen on me~”
…Out of nowhere, Toka asked me for sunscreen at a time I totally wasn’t expecting.
“Huh, now?”
“Yeah, put it on before we leave the house, and then again at the beach. Double application.”
“Oh, right…”
Girls have it so tough… I thought sunscreen was something you slathered on under a beach umbrella with your back exposed, but to think they actually apply it thoroughly beforehand…!
“Ryo-kun, look, look!”
Toka’s clothes from earlier popped out from under the fluffy futon.
“Huh?”
Her light blue dress slid down and fell under the bed. Wait, what is this girl doing all of a sudden?
“I, I took off my clothes, so put the cream on…?”
Toka’s face popped up from under the futon. It was full of anticipation and mischief! I couldn’t help but look away from that face.
“Wh-why did you suddenly take everything off?!”
“Ry-Ryo-kun, you pervert! I haven’t taken everything off yet. I’m still wearing my underwear!”
“No, that’s not what I meant!”
“I’ll rub it on you too, Ryo-kun! I wanna rub it on you! Let me rub it on you! Let me touch you!”
“That last part is weird!?”
Toka looked pretty composed in front of the Kagurazaka house, but it seems like she’s been totally giddy ever since we got here.
