Finally, it is time for the last event of the school festival, the after-party. It seems that many schools don’t have an evening festival these days, but for some reason, our school still holds it.
The festival is held in both the gymnasium and the schoolyard, with a stage presentation in the gymnasium and a dance around the campfire in the schoolyard as the final event.
Last year, I didn’t participate in the festival, but instead went home and played dungeon laps in the shadow game, so I don’t know exactly what the festival is about.
“And for that matter, when are Reona and Riona coming out?”
I mumbled to myself as I sat on the floor of the gymnasium watching the stage presentation. I heard that Reona and Riona will participate in today’s stage presentation, but what are they going to do?
Currently on the spotlighted stage, the light music club was performing a band, but I was so concerned about it that I couldn’t get my head around it at all.
“They said I’ll get the answer to what I wanted to know there, though…….”
While I’m thinking about this, the band’s performance comes to an end and they begin to prepare for their next stage presentation.

Although I was wondering what was going to happen, I could understand after listening to the MC’s explanation. The participants were apparently volunteers who had been recruited in advance, but what in the world were they going to shout?
Then the participants started shouting one after another on the stage what they normally cannot say. The content varied from thanking their best friends, to secrets they had been hiding, to apologies to someone in particular.
“Ah, it’s Reona and Riona. I knew you two were very popular.”
The two moved from the backstage to the center of the stage, where they were illuminated by spotlights.
“Onee chan and I got boyfriends at this school festival, so I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you all about it”
Riona spoke into the microphone, which was set up for her, and there was a loud buzz in the air. It would have been impossible not to be surprised when two of the school’s idols started talking like that.
As for me, I was in a despairing mood. I thought she might like me, but I was mistaken.
When Reona kissed me and Riona hugged me, it must have been some kind of a tactic. I must have been conveniently used to make Reona and Riona’s love come true.
“…… I didn’t want to know the answer to this question.”
It was stupid of me to have been so selfishly buoyed up by the two of them being so friendly with me. The gymnasium was as noisy as ever, but it didn’t matter any more.
If it were an anime or a novel, there is no doubt that it would have had a disgusting bad ending. I can only see a future where viewers and readers will troll anonymous Internet message board threads after watching it.
When I was about to leave the gymnasium in despair, I heard a loud and unpleasant sound of a squeal. It made the whole area quiet down at once.
It might have been deliberately made to howl because I saw Reona doing something in front of the microphone. After confirming that the room had quieted down, the two slowly opened their mouths.
“Tsurugi Reona and…”
“Tsurugi Riona is”
Reona and Riona, who had finished saying that much, fell silent together, then looked at each other and began to speak into the microphone at the same time.
“We are going out with Yagami Ryoya”
“…Eh?!”
I couldn’t believe my ears. I thought I heard them say they were going out with Yagami Ryoya, but I wasn’t going out with Reona and Riona in the first place. Could it be that there is another person named Yagami Ryoya at this school?
“Since we’re here, let’s have a word from Ryoya kun.”
“Ryoya, stay where you are.”
Reona and Riona got off the stage with microphones in their hands and walked toward me at the exit of the gymnasium. Riona handed me the microphone as I was confused, not knowing what was going on at all.
“Okay, a few words.”
“U-umm…….”
Naturally, I had no idea what I was going to say, so I froze and couldn’t say anything.
“Yesterday’s meeting, he said he would declare that he would protect me and Riona for the rest of his life, but he was too nervous to speak well.”
I was not going to be able to keep up with Reona, who was telling me a terrible lie without hesitation. I’m not sure if we’ve even been dating to begin with, let alone meeting.
In fact, that sounds like a proposal to me. Perhaps it was a surprise to me, but it was not, because the disclosure of the story did not start anytime soon.
“Please continue to support Ryoya and us sisters.”
The moment Riona finished her words, there was a huge round of applause. The atmosphere in the gymnasium was completely filled with congratulations for us, but needless to say, I still had no idea what was going on.
At any rate, one thing I can say for sure is that the whole school is now aware that I am dating both Reona and Riona. What will happen to my school life from now on?

So first of all, it would be extremely cringey and egocentric to announce your new relationship status in front of the whole school, as if it was something everyone needed to know. And then everyone’s like totally fine with these douchebags announcing their poly triangle. But yeah, of course it’s because the sisters are evil masterminds who have brainwashed the entire student body into their mindless slaves. This feels like an unintentional surreal mystery thriller scenario.
