After leaving the haunted house, we enjoyed the flying trapeze, the maze, and the boats, and then chatted over a little late lunch at the food court.
There are several restaurants in Kurashiki Milano Park, but we chose the food court because of the wide variety of food on the menu.
“After all, theme parks are fun,”
“Time flies by so fast.”
“Maybe I feel that way because I don’t get to come here often.”
There were a lot of things that happened, like Reona getting drunk from too many cups of coffee and Riona screaming so hard in the haunted house that her character collapsed, but we were still having a good time.
“Where should we go next time after we finish eating?”
“How about a roller coaster next?”
“I want to go on a roller coaster too.”
When Reona, who had stopped eating and was looking at a pamphlet, made such a suggestion, Riona voiced her approval. I have no particular reason to object, so the roller coaster is the obvious choice.
“Okay, let’s do that.”
“Then let’s go eat quickly. There’s probably going to be a long line of people waiting for their turn.”
“There was quite a line when I saw it a while ago.”
We finished what was left of our meal and started to head for the roller coaster. When we arrived in front of the roller coaster, there was a long line, just as we had expected.
“An hour wait……… is quite a long wait after all.”
“It’s a popular attraction, so it can’t be helped.”
“What are we going to do to kill time?”
“That’s the problem I have every time I come to a theme park.”
When Reona and I were beginning to worry about such things, Riona began to talk with a confident expression on her face.
“I thought this would happen, so I downloaded a quiz app that the three of us could play together to pass the time.”
“Riona, nice. Onee chan is happy to have a brilliant Imouto”
“So what kind of quiz app is it?”
“Hold on, I’ll show you the rules now ……”
We started reading the quiz rules displayed on Riona’s phone screen. Apparently, one person will be the contestant and the rest will be the questioner and the respondent, and the contestant will tell a story that makes you think.
The questioner then asks the contestant a question that can be answered with yes or no, and the quiz seems to be about guessing what the contestant thinks the story is.
Incidentally, if the questioner asks a question that has nothing to do with the question, the contestant answers that it has nothing to do with the question, and if the contestant can figure out the story, the contest is over.
“I see, so it seems that one person answers the questions while reading out the questions displayed on the application, and the remaining two people collect information while asking questions and making deductions.”
“That’s right, Ryoya and one chan seem to have understood the rules, so let’s get started right away. I’m going to be the questioner first.”
“Ryoya kun, let’s work together.”
Reona seems to be very motivated. Perhaps Reona likes quizzes like this.
“Michael and Sophia were found dead on the floor of a house. Near the bodies was a broken water tank. There were no wounds on their bodies and no signs that they had taken poison. No one was in the house at the time of their deaths. So how did Michael and Sofia die?”
Riona read out the question from the app, and I immediately asked.
“Is it because Michael and Sophia killed themselves?”
“NO, that’s not it.”
I thought they might have killed themselves in some way, but apparently not. Reona asked a question this time.
“Are Michael and Sophia lovers by any chance?”
“That has nothing to do with this issue.”
This means that the position and status of Michael and Sophia are not important in this matter. While I was thinking about this, Reona opened her mouth again.
“So the broken tank is related to the cause of Michael and Sophia’s deaths?”
“YES, the broken tank had a lot to do with the cause of death,”
Reona and I asked Riona questions like this for a while, which she could answer with yes, no, or not related to the cause of death.
“…… oh, I think I might know the answer.’
“Then answer the question, nee chan.”
I was still not quite sure about all the information, but Reona seemed to have figured out the answer.
“Michael and Sophia were fish, not humans, and they died because their tank broke and they were thrown to the floor, where they died of nitrogen poisoning because their gills could no longer breathe.”
“Correct, I didn’t expect you to guess so quickly. You’re good, nee chan.”
“I see ……, you certainly never said anything about human beings.”
Hearing Reona’s answer finally made sense to me. The reason I couldn’t come up with the answer is because I assumed Michael and Sophia were human.
After that, we played with the quiz application, rotating the contestants, and before I knew it, the one-hour waiting period had passed.
“Oh, finally, it’s our turn.”
“Thanks to the quiz app, it didn’t take long at all.”
“That was fun.”
The safety bar was slowly lowered from the top, and after an announcement, the roller coaster started to move.
At first I was completely caught off guard, thinking that the ride was not too scary, but I soon realized that I was wrong. The course, which was relatively gentle right after the ride started, suddenly became more intense around the middle of the ride.
Although I am not a big fan of screaming machines, I was still quite scared. Riona, who was sitting next to me, was also scared, her face scrunched up.
“It was a lot of fun.”
“Yeah, …….”
“……, Yeah”
We got off the roller coaster when we finally arrived at the ride, but Reona had a big smile on her face, while I and Riona had dead faces.
