Episode 6 – Countdown to Farewell

After I left the school, I was looking for the movements of Saki.

It was yesterday that I discovered the affair, and I thought that she was going to meet the affair partner yesterday and today in a row, but that expectation was immediately betrayed in a bad way.

Boo-boo!

Saki, who was walking, suddenly stopped and operated her smartphone.

Then my phone vibrated and I received a text message.

“I’m sorry I didn’t get back to you. I have something to do today, so I’m going home first.”

The sender was Saki, and the content of the message was that she was going home alone today.

Neither of us was involved in club activities, and it was our habit to go home together on days when we did not have a part-time job, or to call each other when we had something to do. Nevertheless, I was betrayed easily.

It was apparently the moment when it was confirmed that I would be seeing my cheating partner again today.

Suddenly, a voice in my mind leaked out. I knew we would break up.

But I hadn’t imagined being cheated on, and it seemed like a distant event, and when I actually experienced it, nausea came before anger, and the feeling of unforgiveness also came.

I think I should break up with her right away, but I’m going to gather all the evidence I can and say goodbye to her. It’s just a personal feeling, but my mother also betrayed me and left me, so I thought it was unforgivable.

“Oh, did you wait for me?”
“No, I’m not”

In the meantime, Saki and the unfaithful partner had met.
At that time they were both in plain clothes, but now they are both in uniform.

Maybe that’s why I knew the other guy was a student at another school.

Then I looked at him again and noticed that he looked a lot like Kato Shingo, a former classmate of mine. He was over 180 cm tall and had a well-defined face, although his eyebrows were somewhat uncharacteristically shaved.

They went on their way without any problems. I took a picture of them as they walked back to the house.

When I returned home, my sister, Mirei, told me with a worried look.

“Yeah, it was today too. And it was Kato.”
“Kato, as I recall, was a classmate of yours in junior high school. …… I can’t believe it. …… He’s the worst person in the world. …….why ……”

Kato was not a man of good behavior.
There are rumors that he was also involved in multiple relationships.

“I’m going to go upstairs for now, I need to get my feelings in order.”

I was sorry that I let my sister say that much, but I drank the orange juice she handed me vigorously so as not to worry her any more, and headed upstairs.
Then, as I was transferring the photos I had taken, I was struck with a dizzying feeling.

“Huh, was I this sleepy ……?”

I tried to resist, but the irresistible sleepiness overcame me and my consciousness faded away.

I shook him to make sure he was asleep.

My brother says his own mother betrayed him and left him.

Maybe that’s why he thinks he has to be a good person and do his best. He has always had dark circles in his eyes as proof of this. It’s a sign that he’s trying his best, but at the same time, it’s a sign that he’s in a lot of pain.

Not wanting to deny it, but I want to let my brother be free.

I open the incoming call and immediately get confirmation.

“Yes, it’s working. He won’t know even if I do something right now. In fact, I think it would be fine.”
“You know what happens if you do that, don’t you? Don’t forget that you are here now because of the agreement and kindness.”
“I know. I just wanted to get mounted a little bit. The man I asked him about was a classmate of my brother’s, a man named Kato.”
“As I thought, I see. …… that is consistent with the results here. Then I’ll leave the rest to you since the rest will be handled by my family. But please don’t make any mistakes.”
“Of course. The anniversary of my brother and I has not yet come up. I will not do such a foolish thing because I want to finish it as soon as possible so that we can make it in time.”

The communication was cut off, and silence reverberated around the room.

“Wait for me, onii san. I will always be with you.”

I was overflowing with joy at the reality that was almost within my grasp.
I called my parents, who had to leave on an urgent business trip, so as not to do the same thing I had done that time.
