Episode 52 – Date?

“How was I, how was I? How was my cute but serious work appearance!”

After about five hours had passed and the shooting was over, Shiina returned to her plain clothes and came toward me, elated.
Completely turned off, Shiina was still the same as usual.

“Yeah, yeah, she was cute~, I know~.”
“No, I didn’t say a word about it.”
“I can read your mind, Saku-kun~, because we are one in heart.~”
“said it.”

I shooed away Shiina, who was sticking to me as usual, a little more restrained than usual.
I wonder if this will really calm down depending on my actions. I can’t quite imagine.
But I can’t waste the information I got from Abe-san. I couldn’t let it go to waste.

“Shiina, are you free after this?”

I asked casually.
Then, with a grin and a pout, she said

“What is it? Do you want to go on a date with me, Saku kun?”

“I’m free. I was planning to go somewhere with you after this anyway.”
“Then it’s convenient.”

I show Shiina the ticket I just got.

“I got it by accident.”
“This is a ticket for the Ferris wheel, right?”
“Yes. Is there a problem?”
“No, I was just wondering why you have it.”
“I told you I got it by accident. Besides, it’s close to here and it would be a waste not to use it, so I just thought I’d go. If you are not going to go, I will throw it away.”

I told a painful lie.
There’s no point in telling it nakedly here. It was a conversation on a Ferris wheel.

“I’ll go! I’ll definitely go! I’ll go no matter what!”

Shiina took the ticket from me and jumped up and down.

“It’s only one train ride away from here, and even if we go now, we can be home by evening.”
“This is a date, right?”
“It’s not a date. We’re just going to ride the Ferris wheel.”
“No, it’s a date. It’s a date.”
“You keep talking like that, I’m going to break it.”
“No!”

That’s what I’m talking about. She’s a genius at getting on people’s nerves.

“Even if it’s not a date, maybe I’d be okay with a sleepover.”
“Ah?”
“Because the night view around here is beautiful, isn’t it? Don’t you think it would be romantic to view it from the upper floor of the hotel? After toasting with a glass of chamomilee there, we could go to bed in our bathrobes and have the best situation, don’t you think?”

Shiina says, rubbing her chin,

“Stop being paranoid, I’m really going to break it.”

I took her ticket and pretended to tear it off with my hand.

“Hey, I’m just kidding~. I’m just going to have dinner with you.~”

She apologized in a stroking voice, rubbing her arms around me.

I didn’t say anything about going out for dinner either, but that probably depends on the Ferris wheel.
It’s not just about dinner. What happens to us from now on also depends on it.
