Episode 19 – Secret

A weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
But then there’s something else that’s been bothering me.

“I’ve been wondering since a few minutes ago, what’s with the popcorn in the Ziploc?”

I’ve been holding it in my hand since the movie ended, but what the hell is it for?
I looked at her hand and said.

“Oh, this? This is what Saku-kun was eating earlier, right?”

She puts the Ziploc on her cheek and tilts her head.

“Ha?”
“That’s the popcorn that Saku-kun was eating just now.”
“No, I mean, why are you putting it in the Ziploc instead of eating it?”
“Because you grabbed it with your bare hands, right, Saku? Saku grabbed it with his bare hands and touched it with your mouth, right? Now, here’s the problem!
Why am I putting it in the Ziploc?~”
“I’m asking you that right now?””
“The correct answer is~………… it was to store it because it has Saku-kun’s genes on it~”
“………………….”

Shiina cheerfully makes psychopathic remarks. I stand there cowering and exclaiming.
It’s too much of a mystery what kind of life you lead to think like this.
I spent almost every day with her as a close childhood friend until the second year of junior high school, and I thought I was watching her life from the side.
I thought I was standing next to her, watching her life, but I was surprised at how much a person can change in two years. During that time, she was still attached to me.
I didn’t realize how abnormal she was.
I had noticed an escalation in her behavior.

“So, you know, the reason I don’t eat this popcorn?~”
“No, thanks. I don’t want to hear it.”
“I’m gonna Use it, this popcorn.”
“……….don’t open your mouth any more.”
“But what I do with this popcorn at home is a…S e c r e t”

Shiina, with a slight blush on her cheeks, puts her index finger on her lips.
I don’t want to know or think about ………… that. Too horrifying.

“Hnn~, if you want to know so much, I’ll tell you. I’m not that much of an evil person myself.~”
“Don’t say it, don’t say it, don’t say it!”

I yelled at her, reminding her not to say anything.

“Oh, really?….. I hope it turns you on to have me sneak around behind your back”
“.., just let it be that way already.”

I can almost see what she’s going to do.
She’s going to bring home some popcorn (with my genes) and put it in her womb and play pregnant.

And the day after she does that, she’s going to come back with another echo photo she picked up off the Internet.
This is predictable and that’s why I don’t want to hear it.
