The maid’s lesson was quite easy to understand.

It was the same content that Reisa had been teaching us, but what helped us the most was that she explained it with the reasoning we wanted to hear.

Even without asking, I immediately understood that this person had been teaching Reisa English.

Nagisa was even more impressed by the maid than I was.

It seemed that she was happy with the maid’s polite and thoughtful manner of speaking, which was a complete change from her attitude when she was being taught by Reisa.

She was asking questions one after another with sparkling eyes, like a little child, and I was a little surprised.

Reisa, who was watching this, was strangely proud throughout.

It was strange because she wasn’t the one teaching.

In any case, I would like to thank Reisa again for giving us this opportunity.

I think today’s study session alone has significantly improved my English.

My anxiety has also decreased considerably.

At this rate, I should be able to take the test with confidence, which is a relief.

As I thought about this, I looked around the quiet room.

Nagisa and Reisa had already fallen asleep, and the study session had somehow turned into self-study time.

It was already 2:00 a.m.

Looking at the clock, I realized that I had been awake for about 22 hours straight.

“Phew…still, it’s a precious self-study time, so I can’t sleep yet.”

This study session will continue through Sunday, so I want to stay awake a little longer.

I don’t know what time the two of them will wake up, but if I sleep around 4 a.m., I should be able to recover.

Right now, I don’t want to waste even a moment.

As I was summarizing the English I had just learned in my notebook and organizing it with my own notes, the door to the room opened.

“…You’re still awake, aren’t you?”

“Are you Martin?”

“Was there anything unclear in my explanation earlier?”

“No, it’s fine. I just wanted to organize it a bit more.”

When I said that to the maid who had entered the room, she sat down next to me.

She then handed me the tea she had kindly prepared.

“It’s chamomile tea. It helps you sleep well, so please have some.”

“Thank you.”

“…..”

I drank a sip, feeling grateful.

The unfamiliar taste of herbal tea gave me a strange sensation.

Then the maid stood up and moved behind me.

For some reason, she started massaging my shoulders.

“Um, excuse me?”

“I’m good at massages. You looked pretty tense.”

“…..You noticed?”

“Plus, you look pretty sleep-deprived. If you keep this up, your efficiency will drop. Considering the schedule until the test, it might be better to call it a day and get some sleep to maintain your performance.”

She seemed to know everything, leaving me with no choice but to smile wryly.

Plus, what she was saying made sense.

My brain, which had been excited about acquiring new knowledge, began to relax thanks to the chamomile tea, her soft voice, and the gentle pressure of her fingers spreading through my body.

It feels amazing.

If I just closed my eyes right now, how happy would I be?

“…..Come to think of it, something like this happened before.”

“Before?”

“……When Reisa gave me a massage at home. It was really good.”

This is bad. I don’t even know what I’m saying.

I’m so sleepy my head is spinning.

I lost the strength to hold the pen and let go of it.

The light sound of the mechanical pencil falling onto the desk echoed, and I collapsed onto the desk.

Then, as if following me, the maid’s fingers moved from my shoulders to my neck.

“Your neck is really stiff. You’ve been studying too much in a forward-leaning posture. …Since you’re aiming to be a doctor, you should take care of your own body.”

“…A doctor, huh?”

“At this rate, your back must be in bad shape too. ……Fufu. If Lady Reisa finds out about this reckless behavior, who knows what she’ll say later.”

The muffled words in my ear tickled me.

I can’t take it anymore.

I can’t keep my consciousness.

It felt like I’d been drugged with sleeping pills—the sleepiness exploded all at once.

As I lay there exhausted, the maid asked one last question.

“So, Edano kun. Which one is your true love, Reisa chan or Nagisa chan?”

“…..Well, that’s.”

Before I could answer, my consciousness completely faded.

And I never remembered the contents of that conversation for the rest of my life.

When I woke up, I was in a guest room.

I had been studying until the last minute before bed, but somehow I ended up here.

And I couldn’t clearly recall what happened last night.

I feel like I was having an important conversation.

When did I end up sleeping in this soft bed?

However, as soon as I got up, everything became irrelevant.

“Huh? What’s this? My body feels unbelievably light. Is this really my body?”

My neck, shoulders, and waist, which had been stiff until yesterday, now moved easily as if it were a lie.

My head felt clear and refreshed, and my thinking seemed to have recovered.

When was the last time I woke up feeling this sharp?

Looking in the mirror, the dark circles under my eyes are gone.

It’s weird since I was up so late yesterday.

But I didn’t oversleep either; the clock says 9 AM, which is a normal time.

I must have had an exceptionally good night’s sleep.

“…Is this the mansion’s power? It’s terrifying.”

Muttering to myself, I try to leave the room.

Just then, Reisa opened the door, and we bumped into each other.

Her face was so close that I jumped back in surprise.

“Wow ! You scared me !”

“Me too !”

“I’m sorry. I came to wake you up because it’s morning.”

“Oh, okay. Thanks. …Good morning, Reisa.”

“Uh, yeah. Good morning.”

Even though it was just a morning greeting, my face started to feel hot for some reason.

Because of my attitude, Reisa looked puzzled, then stared at me from head to toe, but then quickly looked away.

“Breakfast will be ready soon.”

“Oh, okay.”

“See you later.”

Even though she had gotten up, Reisa left without waiting for me for some reason.

I tilted my head at her departure and returned to my room to get ready.

Then I suddenly felt something off about my body.

I had just woken up.

I was aware that I had let my guard down because I was in a good mood.

Which meant…

I checked my reflection in the mirror again and spent the next hour in agony.

Being too energetic can be a problem.
