My songwriting began from that day. As soon as I got home, I spread out a composition guide, an artist’s score book, and a note from past compositions, and poured a sample sound source around my room.
It is a heart-wrenching feeling that I am carrying the feelings of Senpai and Ari san on my shoulders.
But……
“Hmm, I can’t think of anything…”
I sigh in front of the computer where I started music production software.
Unfortunately, I had no idea what kind of music I should compose.
Ari san’s request was for a cool song like Lyconess.
Misumi senpai’s emotional and gentle lyrics.
I realized that it was more difficult to combine two conflicting factors than I imagined.
In the first place, I had never written a song as requested by someone else, or added lyrics written by someone else to a song.
I did all the songwriting in the Lyconess era with my own heart. I once received a request from the leader, Nobuhiko,
“Rock ‘n’ roll.”
“A little pop-like.”
It was operating based on only extremely vague instructions. So I was basically allowed to do whatever I wanted.
But this time, I can’t move.
Ari san’s request is a Lyconess rock feel. She probably want to make the image that was burned into her eyes and ears at the live house into a Nonoi style.
On the other hand, Senpai’s lyrics are filled with kindness and emotion that it is better to describe them as poetry rather than lyrics.
The lyrics that senpai wrote are still in draft form, so I plan on adding rhymes and transcribing them to fit the melody and match them with the song. However, I don’t want to lose the feelings Senpai has entrusted to me as much as possible. That is respect for the author.
Fusing the thoughts of the two and sublimating it into a masterpiece. I definitely don’t want to settle for a compromise.
