Episode 112 – Could this be a date?

After the noisy fellow had left, I decided to talk with Fujibayashi about the future.

Certainly Sasaoka was right; it was hard to believe that she would honestly go home with that fighting.

“So what are you going to do Fujibayashi?”

“Eh? I’m staying over again today.”

The trains and Nagahama were full of young people as it was summer vacation. There are many students like Sasaoka who have remedial classes or club activities, so you can see them in uniforms or jerseys, probably on their way home from such activities.

It’s a shame that you have to come all the way out to a crowded place in this heat, I thought to myself.

With Fujibayashi’s help, I went to a coffee shop to get a take-out drink.

I had never been to such a place before, so I was hesitant to order a drink, but Fujibayashi was familiar with the area, so I asked her to take care of it.

She chanted something like a spell while placing my order.

When I looked at the drink that came out, it was a Frappuccino with lots of cream, chocolate, and other toppings that looked too sweet for my thirst.

Fujibayashi, however, was not concerned about that and drank it through a straw.

I followed suit, put the straw in my mouth, and drank the same way.

Fujibayashi looked at me and smiled.

My mouth is filled with the sweetness of the caramel flavor. The same amount of cold sherbet on it went down my throat.

My head ached a little because I drank it all at once.

I see. It is indeed a perfect drink for a hot day. However, the sweetness is too strong, so I can’t say that it quenched my thirst.

“So what is Fujibayashi drinking?”

Fujibayashi’s was more colorful than mine. Mine, by the way, was a caramel-flavored one.

“Eh? Mine is strawberry and banana. Even if it’s the same sweet, wouldn’t you rather have a fruit-flavored one if you’re thirsty?”

“Eh? Because I like that one too. We can share if we both order something else, right?”

What kind of idea is that? If it’s food that can be divided into smaller portions, it’s still a drink.

Saying that, Fujibayashi hands me the straw stuck in her own drink.

While I was thinking about that, Fujibayashi sucked the straw of my drink into her mouth and drank it with a sizzling sound.

“Ah, this one tastes good, too! Here, have this one too!”

I made up my mind and got Fujibayashi’s

I sucked up the inside of it and felt the fresh sweetness of the fruit in my mouth.

This one was just as sweet and I felt thirsty afterwards, but I felt that this one was more thirst-quenching.

After finishing the drink, I felt a gaze from next to me.

The owner of that gaze──Fujibayashi was grinning as usual.

“What is it, ……?”

And when I asked, she came up to my ear and whispered

“It’s an indirect kiss.”

The distance of her breath and the sensuality of her words made me shiver.

At the same time, I felt my ears suddenly become hot.

This girl… she knew what she was doing.

“Ahaha, that’s it! I wanted to see that face! I was definitely thinking of getting back at what happened yesterday.”

“That should be enough for bedtime.”

“That’s not enough at all. So from now on, I have to make fun of Arase even more!”

Damn it…it seems like yesterday’s incident caused an unnecessary fire.
