“Hey there! I’m back again today!”

I felt saved by the words that appeared in the comments section.

All the fatigue I’d been feeling today just vanished.

It was more than that—I was so excited I almost jumped to my feet.

The viewer count was 2!! Oh my gosh! That’s double the usual!!

“Thank you so much, flower-san!”

“No, no~. What are you going to talk about today?”

“Today? Something amazing happened today!”

It was awkward and tough, but I’m so happy I can’t help myself that I have an interesting story to share with everyone.

“You look so happy! What happened?”

“Well, today… believe it or not, I hung out with a girl!”

“Whoa!”

“Do you remember the girl I told you about the other day? Turns out she really had been acting weird, and she apologized for her strange behavior. She said she’d treat me to dessert as an apology, so I just went along with it.”

“Hmm, and then?”

“When we actually got there, I was totally shocked—she looked way too cute in her casual clothes!”

“Ehehe~”

Caught off guard by the joke, I burst out laughing.

“Hey! I wasn’t talking about you, flower san! You made me picture a guy wearing a girl’s casual clothes!”

There was a brief pause, then a comment appeared.

“Haha, sorry. So, what happened next?”

“Okay. Well, she was so incredibly cute that I felt completely out of place standing next to her as a plain-looking guy, and I ended up feeling really down. I went to an expensive hair salon the day before to try and look even remotely decent, but it was totally pointless.”

‘Oh, I see.’

“And here’s the thing. The girl who invited me was supposed to bring a friend along. As she approached the meeting spot, even from a distance, she looked like a total beauty—which just made me feel even more out of place. I really wondered what the hell that hair salon money was for. I thought, ‘Going to the salon didn’t make a difference at all.’”

“Uh, yeah.”

“And then she came right up to me. That beautiful girl—my childhood friend who I’m on bad terms with. I mean, seriously, it had nothing to do with the salon, but I just felt so out of place!!”

“djka s l; ja s djka l; ja ga skdf ga sk”

Wait, what!? W-what kind of reaction is that!?

“Flower, are you okay!?”

“S-sorry. I blacked out for a second and dove onto the keyboard.”

“R-really? Maybe you should go to the hospital or something? Your health is important to me.”

“……I’m fine, I was just joking! Tell me about your relationship with her.”

Phew, that’s a relief. Right now, there’s no one more important to me than Flower. I’m glad there’s nothing wrong with her health.

I breathed a sigh of relief and decided to continue the story.

“Yeah. We’ve gotten along since we were kids and were really close. We’d talk not just at school, but at home and even while gaming. We were the kind of friends who’d have deep conversations where I’d vent and she’d comfort and encourage me.”

“W-why did you two end up on bad terms?”

“Her mother was a strict person. She was told she had to get into the top-ranked high school, and she was feeling cornered.”

“Hmm.”

“She reached her limit and tried to run away. I wanted to save her, so I told her we should run away together. But I broke that promise, and because of that, she ended up hating me.”

I gave a wry laugh, and a comment appeared from someone other than Flower san.

“Why did you stop trying to run away together?”

The username was Morning. Another viewer.

I hadn’t intended to get into such personal details, but I felt happy and decided to talk about it.

“Well, I was serious when I made that promise. But since I was in middle school at the time, I realized there wouldn’t be much of a future for us if we ran away. I knew we wouldn’t be happy that way. So, I decided to try to change the environment she was in instead.”

“……Huh?”

“On the day we agreed, I contacted her mother. With her mother distraught over her daughter’s disappearance, I used her whereabouts as leverage. I passionately explained how much she was suffering, brought her father into the conversation, and even had my own parents help out over the phone to persuade them to reevaluate their parent-child relationship. Thanks to all that, I succeeded in getting her to repent.”

I held up two fingers.

“And then I said, ‘Please keep it a secret that you came here today. If this gets out, it will leave a rift in your relationship. Just when her mother was finally looking forward, if she finds out she came here because a boy from her class told her to, she might see her as a failure as a mother. So tell her, “So you were here. I’m sorry. I was wrong. Please, come home.”’”
