“Sakine, I’m going~ onee chan has to work in the morning, so please come after noon.”
“I understand! Have a good day.”
Today, there is a school festival at my sisters’ school.
Unlike the gymnastics festival, I’ve already told her I’ll be there, so she won’t be mad at me.
A few hours after seeing my sister off, I left home with a lighter backpack than before.
“I’m going out without telling anyone!~”
I walked around the house singing a song I had seen on TV one day.
“Doremifasorashido, dosirasofamiredo, remifasorashido!”
Enjoying myself in this way, sometimes taking a break for a cup of tea, I walked for about 30 minutes.

Finally, I arrived at the school where nee chan and nii chan go to school.
Just as at the gymnasium, there were many people coming in and out of the school, indicating that the place was bustling with activity.
The clock near the school gate was about 10 minutes before the clock struck 12.

I walked through the school entrance, put on the big slippers that had been prepared for me, and headed for my sisters’ class.
I had heard where their class was, so I headed straight there and peeked inside and immediately saw Hikaur Onii chan in his tuxedo.
He was in the middle of serving the customers, “What would you like to order?”
I activated the camera on the hand-me-down phone I had brought with me and clicked the shutter.
I looked for my sister, and found her dressed in the same outfit carrying dishes further behind onii chan, so I took a picture of her as well.
Then onii chan noticed me and came up to me.
“Sakine-chan, we are almost done, so please wait a little longer.”
I waited as I was told, and after about 10 minutes, they came in to change their clothes.
“”Thank you for waiting.””
“Then, let’s go. Sakine, have you found somewhere you want to go?”
When I looked a little confused, onii chan made a suggestion.
“What about solving riddles? It seems like there’s going to be a big riddle that four first-year classes are working together on. Apparently there’s a participation fee, but you can also get some fruit candy.”
“I want to do it!”
“Then let’s do it!”
“The next start time was supposed to be at 12:30, so let’s hurry!”
We arrived at the class where we were to start solving the riddles and lined up at the registration desk.
“The entry fee for one group will be 1500 yen. Here are 1500 “rim” and a map for the currency used in solving the riddles here. Please enjoy yourselves.”
When I was led into the class, the venue was decorated in the atmosphere of a shrine festival.
There were already a number of groups, and we were probably the last to enter, but as soon as we did, announcements began to be made.
“Come on, come on, today is the fair day here at the Mystery Solving Shrine. Please try your best to solve the riddles and see the beautiful fireworks! To start off, it would be a good idea to get a true amulet. Now then, please enjoy the mysterious fair.”
At the signal to start, all the groups around us began to move in unison.
We too began to move, trying not to fall behind.
“Onii chan, it’s a true talisman.”
“I wonder. There is a lottery, but it seems strange. First is gold and the losers are painted white, but the second and third prizes are red and purple.”
“Anyway, let’s go to the amulet stand.”
I went to the amulet counter in the same room as the shrine and found red, yellow, green, and white amulets and a sign.

Onee chan didn’t know either, so she begged onii chan who did know to give her a hint.
“Well~. Can you read kanji, Sakine-chan?”
“Some of them I can read and some I can’t.”
“Then, let’s skip the ones we can’t read and try reading them aloud.”
When onii chan told me that, I did as he asked and read aloud only the ones I could read.
“The losers colors, same……”
“Got it!”
I was able to understand and at the same time my sister seemed to understand as well and her voice echoed loudly.
“The color is the same as the color of the losers, so the white color of the losers of the lottery is the true color of the amulet!”
“That’s right. Go ahead and buy it with this.”
With that said, I went to buy a white amulet for 500 yen.
“A white amulet, yes. Then, go to the yo-yo fishing next.”
After receiving the white amulet, I returned to them
“They told me to go yo-yo fishing next.”
“The yo-yo fishing is in the class two doors down, it says on the map.”
“Let’s go there then.”
So we successfully solved the first riddle and headed to the yo-yo fishing room, where the next riddle was to be found.
