It was lunchtime. We didn’t have any other friends, so we decided to eat our lunch together. Then a boy approached us.

‘I’m Ibata Atsushi. Nice to meet you.”
Ibata has short hair and gaudy-coloured glasses. He looks like a casual guy.
‘I’m Nagatsuki Kouki and this is Shimomura Taiyo. Nice to meet you.”
“You two, did something happen with those two?”
Ibata’s gaze was on Mizusaki Yayoi and Satouchi Yoko.
“A little. we just saved them from a pick-up yesterday.”

It is about 40 kilometres from Kumamoto City, where the high school is located, to Yatsushiro. The only people who commute from Yatsushiro are us and Kamiyama Fumika.
“Yeah. We were at Kumamoto station yesterday too. We’re still at the halfway point.”

“Well, I’m just a compliment to Taiyou, so I don’t mind.”
