My study desk, sawed to shreds, the 2.6 million yen I got from cashing in the gold coins on my right hand, and the smell of alcohol lingering in the room.

The living room is littered with liquor bottles, and my father’s clothes are strewn about.

My father, who had been in this house until a few minutes ago and who had tormented me for more than a decade, is gone. I have  transferred him to the other world, to the front of the Red Fog Forest.

He no longer yells at me unreasonably, beats me with a liquor bottle, takes my tuition money, or sells my things without my permission.

It’s exhilarating. I’m liberated from pain.

And yet, some unaccountable lump remains in my heart. Now, I want someone to spoil me. I feel like that.

What comes to mind is Rhys’s face.

“Shoot ! I’ve been forgetting Rhys since yesterday morning !”

“By [Rhys] do you mean that beautiful woman?”

“Yeah.”

“…..What kind of relationship do you have with her?”

“It’s hard to say. Maybe like a slave.”

“Does that mean she’s like me?”

I think it’s different when you put it that way. It’s like the emotional vectors are completely opposite.

When it comes to Nozomi, she leans toward [hate] and wants to bully her and makes her cry, but when it comes to Rhys, she leans toward [like] and makes me want to be mean and embarrass her.

…When you put it into words, it doesn’t sound that different, but it is clearly different.

“Oh well. It would be quicker to show her in person, and I’ll bring her over.”

As I say this, I think of the suite assigned to the princess. I tried to transfer, but there was no one there.

I’m sure it’s the room assigned to me, as the plastic bag containing the empty box of chicken lunchboxes is on the floor.

Well, I left her there for a day, so she must have gone somewhere in her spare time.

The princess would probably know, so I should go ask her.

I move to the room where I had an audience with Princess Limona the other day.

“Limona sama ! What should we do with the half-elf we captured yesterday?”

“You can do as you please as long as you let her live. Just don’t kill her, okay?”

“That’s so you can use it as a threat against the heroes of the transition !”

“Don’t be so insolent. Negotiation material…..and……Sora sama?”

When I transferred to Limona’s room, I found Limona and a knight-like man talking about something strange. What about capturing a half-elf, and what about blackmail?

She opened her eyes to see me suddenly transferred into the room, and although she was surprised, she put on a plastered smile and came closer to me. The blue color of her eyes seemed even colder than usual.

“Please refrain from suddenly transferring to the maiden’s room. So, what do you need?”

“It’s obvious. Well, whatever.  From your conversation earlier, I’m assuming you know where she is.”

“You heard me, didn’t you? If so, we’ll talk quickly. –If you want that half-elf back, you’ll have to sign that contract.”

Limona didn’t have the usual pasty smile on her face, but instead had a sinister smile that was scary enough, as she sat down on a chair and folded her knees.

The paper that the same butler who had brought me the gold coins before offered me was the Holy Spirit Contract.

The content is absolute obedience to Princess Limona for life. The price for this is the return of Rhys.

The content of the obedience itself is no different from that of the contract I made with Rhys. I snicker and throw away the Holy Ghost contract.

“Do you really think I’d sign a contract like this?”

“I don’t think so. But, in the end, it’s just a piece of paper. It remains in form, but it’s no different from a verbal promise, and it has no effect on Sora sama, who can transfer. However, if you sign it, at least formally. I will be obeying Sora sama. Since I summoned you, I have noticed that you have been behaving in an uncharacteristic manner. You have not participated in any of the training sessions, you have set up an ill-advised auction with the heroes, and yesterday, Nozomi sama went missing.

I am well aware that I do not have the right to bind you, but if you act so selfishly, even some of your vassals will begin to distrust you, and that will be a problem for the government.

Therefore, I would like to ask you to at least write down your name. That way, I can return the half-elf safely and you can keep up appearances. It’s not a bad deal, is it?”

Rhys’s explanation sounded plausible, and if I had not known about the Holy Spirit Contract, I might have thoughtlessly signed it, saying, [Well, if it’s just a name, I’ll just sign it…….]

But I knew about the contract. And the fact that she had lied to me so openly and so blatantly lowered my trust in the princess.

“Haa. Limona. Do you think I’m stupid?”

“Wha, you call her a princess !”

“It’s all right. ……But what do you mean by that?”

“No, after all, this is a Holy Spirit contract, right? There’s no way I would sign a contract that will absolutely fulfill what you wrote in order to return Rhys. Are you an idiot?”

“No, but that’s not the Holy Spirit Contract, is it?”

I’m a little worried because she keeps a straight face, but the chain of contract between me and Rhys  tells me that this contract is real.

At least that was a lot more believable than this liar.

“I know because I’m connected to Rhys by the Holy Spirit contract. So? You’re going to tell me where Rhys? Or not?”

“…………”

It’s only been a week since I was summoned to another world. I guess I didn’t expect to have already experienced a Holy Spirit contract in that short period of time.

But I thought it was an impressively good move.

In this world, there are many phenomena that cannot be explained by science alone, such as the Holy Spirit contract and skills, and yet we, who were summoned from another world, are completely ignorant of these phenomena.

However, if I don’t know, I may be forced to sign a contract that I can’t resist in an instant.

At least in our world, contracts are only binding by law.

However, for me, who can freely come and go between this world and the earth by transfer, the binding force of the law of the Kingdom of Barbados is nothing.

It was a clever strategy to take advantage of this, but I was lucky enough to know this.

Limona is silent and mumbling. She must be thinking. How will she negotiate with me now that she knows I’ve told her a one-hit-and-done lie?

I should be the one in trouble because of the kidnapping of Rhys, but it’s her who is sweating in cold sweat. I will negotiate in place of Limona, who is only thinking and not speaking.

“Well then, how about this? If you return Rhys to me now in a mature manner, I will forgive you just by getting down on your knees and apologizing. Yes. It’s not right that you took my property without my permission and you have to pay for it. You are the ones who should be asking for forgiveness.”

“Bastard ! …..Guhaa !”

The knight was enraged and slashed at me, but I deployed the transfer gate. The knight who should have slashed me is slashed in the back and falls because I connected with the knight’s back.

The princess bites her lip, glares at me, and smiles as her cheeks twitch.

“Yes, you really have great courage. But it seems that the half-elf is even more important to you than I thought. Then let’s negotiate normally, not by trickery.

–Sora sama. When you defeat the Demon King, I will return the half-elf to you. Until then, I promise to treat her with respect.”

( -`ω-)✧

The princess who said so confidently with a smug look on her face had made a big mistake.

What she should have done here was to apologize to me, but Limona was still trying to negotiate with me.

Therefore, my mind was made up.

From this moment on, I’m an enemy of the Kingdom of Barbados–.
