“Cain, wake up.”
In the morning, I hear a voice in my head and my brain snaps awake.
I open my eyes, but I can’t see a thing.
…That’s right.
I paid the price for it.
And I start to wonder about the voice in my head.
Why can I hear it?
“Who is it?”
As soon as I say that,
“You called me yesterday, didn’t you?”
it replies.
Could it be the god I called yesterday?
“That’s right.”
Why are you still here?
“I can’t just leave you in this state, can I? I don’t have any power right now, but I can at least help you out, so I’ll stay until you’re able to manage your daily life to some extent.”

I say that in my head.
If God is going to help me, I’m grateful.
There aren’t any major events coming up, so I’ll take a few days off from school.
Until I can sense my surroundings with magic,
until I can walk on my own to some extent,
I’ll rest properly.
