Sol,” meaning ‘sun,’ is a name that fits the character perfectly, but it is too inappropriate for him. That’s what Yuto thought when he saw the reflection of the red-haired young man on the surface of the water.

Because the real him had been unable to protect even his only important friend, had been bullied, withdrawn, and was a nuisance to his parents and older brother, and shunned him. Thus, he is the opposite of “Sol,” who is surrounded by many friends, is the mood maker of this story, and is loved by everyone.

However, he had to live as “Sol” from now on. Because this is the world of the action RPG “Lian’s,” which he played when he was living as Yujin. And his reflection on the surface of the water is unmistakably “Sol”.

And, having been reincarnated as “Sol,” there was something that Yuto wanted to do. To give this world a true happy ending. In particular, Celes, the main character of “Lian’s,” was his favorite character, and he fantasized about her happiness many times in his previous life.

If he carried out the strategy he had decided on, he would find Sol’s friends looking at him with displeased faces.

“Again, you acted on your own without consulting us. Do you understand that your actions have resulted in a great deal of trouble for us? How much waste your every action has caused on this trip.”

It was Lepios, the sober companion, who said this to Sol.

He had glasses and long ash-gray hair, and he appeared to be a very intelligent character. At first, his logical remarks were not liked by many, but he became popular because of his willingness to be irrationally devoted to those with whom he became friends.

Next to Lepios, Carla, a fighter, also opens her mouth.

“What are you laughing at? What do you want?
If you have something to say, say it clearly! That kind of thing really irritates me and pisses me off!”

Carla glares at Sol. She has brown bobbed hair and is a lively, active girl. She is a hardworking person who is determined to achieve her goals, and in a previous life, many people were inspired by her character.

In “Lian’s,” Lepios and Carla would not normally have shouted abuse at Sol, but they did not. However, Sol couldn’t help but smile at their words and actions, which were part of the scenario. Sol’s expression made them say he was sickening, but he didn’t even care.

Because this was proof that the operation was going well.

The general storyline of “Lian’s” is a royal fantasy in which the player purifies the “Mercy Core,” which is infested with miasma in the four towers, and ultimately defeats the Demon King. And in the game, players control the female warrior Celes, the mage Sol, the healer Lepios, and the fighter Kara.

The theme of “Lian’s” is the bond between people. And a setting that plays a large part in that theme is the cost of purification.

The purification of the core is completed by taking in the miasma into one’s own body. And those who have taken in the miasma are easily dislike by those around them.

The four people in the original story purify the miasma one by one in their respective towers, and then are hated by their loved ones. For Celes, it is family; for Sol, a friend; for Lepios, a lover; and for Carla, a rival. But they overcome their despair and form a bond that has nothing to do with the effects of the miasma, and they defeat the demon king.

Of course, Yujin knew that “Lian’s” became popular because of the despair and the development that overcame it. However, knowing the future, Yuto could not help but think. If they had not taken in the miasma, they would have had a much happier future.

The moment he realized that he had been reborn in such a world of “Lian’s,” Yuto wanted to create a true happy ending. A big circle where everyone is happy, not hated by their loved ones, and not ending with only the bonds of fellowship. Since he knew everything, Yuto thought that by using his knowledge of the original story, he could create a happy ending that could not be seen in the game.

So Yuto decided to purify the miasma in all four cores by himself, using Sol’s body. That way, the other three who did not take in the miasma would not be hated by their loved ones.

Even though the story was thus rewritten slightly, only the main character, Celes, remained the same as in the original story. Celes originally had a strong sense of justice and hated wrong. That is why, when Sol was being abused by Lepios and Kara, Celes was there to protect Sol and to correct them.

But that was only after two purifications of the core had been completed. By the time the third purification was completed, Ceres could no longer hide her dislike for Sol.

“I’m sorry ……. I can’t help but get annoyed just looking at you. I don’t know what I’m going to say, so could you please let me keep my distance from you for a bit?”

Saying this, she shook her straight golden hair, which was tied up in one bun, and turned away from Sol.

The woman with a strong sense of justice probably couldn’t even allow herself to feel the way she did about Sol. Her expression showed a hint of regret. The words were probably Celes’ way of not hurting Sol.

But no matter how much they hated it, the three of them could not let go of Sol. Because only Sol knows how to purify the miasma.

Sol moved stealthily, as if under the mistaken impression that the core could not be purified without Sol. No matter how much they hated Sol for this, they had to take Sol on the trip.

Those days would soon be over. They were finally close to the fourth tower.

Yujin knew that the purification of the fourth core had to go alone. Otherwise, he would involve the three of them.

That is why Sol snuck out that night, leaving a note. He then entered the tower where the Mercy Core was located, alone.

“Absolutely, I’ll make sure the demons die……!”

As he finished his cleansing, the same line from the game was heard from behind Sol. When he turned around, Behe, one of the Four Kings, was there. Since the other three had already been defeated, he was the only one of the Four Heavenly Kings still alive.

In the original scenario, before reaching this tower, an event occurs in which Celes and the other four get into a big fight on the road. Celes has no choice but to come here alone to purify herself.

Behe tries to kill Celes by using earth magic to collapse the tower and bury her alive. However, the other three came after Celes, and the four of them managed to survive.

But no help comes for Sol, who alone has taken in the miasma and is completely hated by the three. Therefore, it is a given that he will be buried alive. But Sol had planned to die here from the moment he thought up the plan.

Originally, he had no plans for Sol’s life. Even his friends, who were supposed to be important to him, are only remembered to a certain extent at the setting level. Since he was reincarnated at the same time as the game started, he had no memories of doing anything together. It would be better to die early than to live in such a world where people hate him.

However, as for Yuto, he was happy. He was able to achieve the happy ending he had fantasized about so many times in his previous life, a big circle where everyone was happy. Therefore, he felt a sense of accomplishment as if he had just completed a single game.

His only regret was that he could not see what happened to the happy Celes and the others afterwards. But it would be difficult to even see them with this body, which is strongly affected by the miasma.

When Behe used his magic, Sol’s footing collapsed. While being swallowed by a lot of debris, Sol let go of his consciousness.

The effect of the miasma that had taken hold of Sol disappears. Celes and the others remembered the true feelings they had for Sol.

Sol does not know the cries of Celes and the others at that moment.

i wonder what happened to the miasma, even if it leaves his body shouldn’t it still linger on the ground or disperse in the area? Though maybe that not enough to effect anything normally and why it had to be in the towers,
