Risa speaks up.
“I know this is none of my business, but did you negotiate with Hayato or something?”

She tries to whistle—that’s how bad liars avoid eye contact.
“Anyway… I’m hungry.”

She sidestepped the topic, but it was past 9 PM, so of course our stomachs were growling.
“Should we make something…?”

“I can, but we don’t have much. Just simple pasta.”

Smiling wryly at her sparkling eyes, I headed for the kitchen.
Frankly, having two extra meals was unexpected, so I couldn’t prepare anything fancy.
But leaving these two at home alone felt wrong, and taking just Risa shopping would probably be a bad idea too.
I considered just getting by with instant noodles, but thought that might be a bit much (though maybe instant noodles and pasta are the same thing…).
“I’ll stream Mei-chan’s livestream while I work.”
Since Mei-chan was streaming, I really should watch.
