It was now late June and the final exam before summer vacation was finally approaching. After homeroom, I’m chatting in the classroom with the usual three students.
“The final exam has a lot more subjects than the midterm, so it’s a bit tedious, isn’t it?”
“Well, home economics and health aren’t used in the entrance exams, so I feel like it’s worth studying seriously.”
“If you want to get a recommendation from a designated school, you have to score well in the secondary subjects to earn a good grade, so they are quite important.”

We had been talking about the final exam for a while, but then the conversation started to go in a strange direction.

“I was talking with a friend today.”

Kano san had a lot of friends around her, so maybe there was no chance for me to appear. However, I just couldn’t forgive the people who were bullying Kano san.
But because it was one against several and because of the difference in size, I was unable to do anything about it and was beaten back. The only thing that saved her was the fact that the bullying was resolved thanks to the trouble I caused.
“Yuito says it’s black history, but I was so happy because you were the only one who really tried to help me and took action.”

“I guess it was from that moment on that started to like Kujo Yuito.”

“I know that Yuito likes Suzuno chan, so I won’t ask you to draw a conclusion right now. But I will definitely make you fall in love with me.”
Kano san declared so proudly in front of me.
