After leaving the Gate of Peace at Hakone Shrine, we were walking to our next destination, Former-Hakone Port. We were planning to take a cruise on Lake Ashi from Former-Hakone Port. Well, it was only a short cruise of about 30 minutes.
“There seems to be a sightseeing boat and a pirate boat, which one would you like to ride?”
“The pirate ship is the only one that docks at the port of Togendai, where the Hakone ropeway is located, so that’s the one we’re taking this time.”
“I see. So different ships stay at different ports.”
After walking for about 15 minutes while chatting, we arrived at Former-Hakone Port. We got in line at the ticket booth, bought our tickets, and boarded the pirate ship. We didn’t have to wait long because boarding time was just around the corner.
“It’s quite a stylish ship.”
“Right, by the way, the hull is modeled after an actual Western sailing battleship.”
Kano san and I began to walk around the ship. The ship was quite atmospheric with musket guns and cannon objects installed inside the ship. It seems that they put a lot of emphasis on that area of the setting.
While we were doing that, it was time to leave and the ship started moving. We were going to enjoy the view from the deck, not the cabin.
“Kano san, look over there. You can see the Gate of Peace of Hakone Shrine, which we visited earlier.”
“It looks beautiful from this side of the ocean.”
Kano san took out her phone from her bag and took a picture. Unlike before, you don’t have to wait in line to take a beautiful photo from the boat, so it’s a bit of a bargain. After a short while, Mt. Fuji came into view in front of the boat.
“I heard you can’t see Mt. Fuji very well in June, so we’re in luck !”
“Is that so?”
“Mt. Fuji tends to be hard to see due to the weather and temperature around this time of year.”

Well, we may be very lucky if you think about it that way. We both took some photos with Mt. Fuji in the background.

If it is made into an icon, Suzuno and my brother will find out that the two of us are on a short trip together.
“Now that I think about it, it’s kind of late, but how are you telling your family about this incident, Kano san?”
“I told them I’m going on a normal trip with my friends.”
“Then you didn’t even tell them that you’re going with me.”
I was relieved to hear Kano san’s words, but then she started to say something outrageous.
“Well, maybe my mom is aware that I’m staying over with a boy though.”
“Isn’t that pretty bad !?”
Kano san said it with a calm face, but I wonder if it’s okay.
“Oh, don’t worry, my mom is quite a carefree person. I don’t think she’ll say anything if I were to have that kind of relationship with someone.”
“T-that kind of relationship…..”
When I saw Kano san say those words without shame, my face obviously started to heat up. Then, Kano san starts grinning as she watches me.
“Ah, and by [relationship] I of course mean the kind where a man and a woman develop love. People often refer to it as sex.”
“I-I don’t need you to explain it to me.”
I don’t want you to say such words in broad daylight because it’s bad for my heart. Even though I look like this, I’m still a healthy high school boy.
“Well, I’ve already decided who I’ll give my first time to.”
“Kano san, you’ve never done it before?”
I said unintentionally. I had assumed that since Kano san had always been extremely popular, she had already experienced it.
“I knew Yuito thought so too.”
“I-I’m sorry.”
“Well, I don’t mean to sound so self-centered, but I’m pretty popular, and a lot of people make the mistake of thinking that I’ve had a lot of experience.”
When I apologized, Kano san didn’t seem particularly concerned and replied. I thought I might have hurt Kano san with what I said earlier, so I felt relieved for now.
After enjoying the scenery on the deck for a while, we moved inside the ship, and while we were looking at the ship’s store together, I noticed something unusual.

“It says gold nugget sweets, but I don’t know what’s inside.”
There was something in the shape of a gold bar right in front of us. It was a limited edition item that could only be purchased at the pirate ship’s store.
We were curious about what kind of sweets they were, so we decided to buy two of them. We sat down and opened the box of gold nugget sweets.
“Wow, the gold nugget is a pound cake?”
“It tastes pretty good, too, with a hint of chocolate.”
It tasted really good because we had been moving around all morning and were hungry. Needless to say, we finished it in no time at all.
