I returned to the hotel and packed up my room.

It seems that we managed to get the same number of rooms at the hotel, and the members of the group were able to share a room as planned.

Let me start with the introduction of the members.

First, there was Muranaka Shota, the guy who won the rock-paper-scissors-scissors game at the time of the seat change.

Then, Egami Keigo, Takimoto Seito, and Hayata Shumasa, the three who became my cavalry in the cavalry battle at the gymnastic festival.

Finally, Mukai Ryuki, the son of the Yubel Hotel Mukai.

These five, plus myself, will be living in the same Japanese-style room.

“It’s almost time for dinner, so let’s head over.”

“I guess so.”

“Okay.”

“Let’s do that.”

We took Muranaka’s suggestion and headed for the dinner hall.

The moment we opened the door to the dinner hall, everyone’s feet stopped.

A sumptuous buffet spread out in front of us.

The chandeliers on the ceiling glittered, and the dishes lined up on the long tables seemed to glow.

Tempura, sashimi, Genghis Khan, crab, salmon roe on rice, and many Hokkaido specialties ……, and in the corner, a colorful dessert corner.

“Wow ……!”

“I wonder if I can eat all of this……?”

The smell of Genghis Khan has already caught Ryuki’s attention.

“You guys haven’t even taken your seats yet, and your eyes are shining too bright.”

I called out to him with a wry smile, but to be honest, I was getting excited too.

As we were shown to our seats, the teacher looked around at all of us and warned us.

“Everyone is free to take whatever you like, but please eat what you take responsibly. I will not tolerate leftovers. Then, itdakaimasu!”

we all headed for the buffet table at once.

Muranaka’s eyes lit up as he headed first for the crab corner.

“I knew Hokkaido would be famous for its crabs!”

“No, your plate is full of crabs,” I said, as he took his plate home with a satisfied look on his face.”

On the other hand, Ryuki stopped in front of the Genghis Khan grill.

“This is the best grilled meat I’ve ever tasted. …… The aroma here is something else.”

“You’re like a gourmet reporter.”

“Of course I am. This is the real taste. You should hurry up and come too.”

Ryuki beckoned me over and I took a piece of meat.

Egami, Takimoto, and Hayata were having a great time at the Japanese food corner.

“This simmered dish looks really good, doesn’t it?”

“No, no, first of all, sashimi!”

“Don’t eat too much, you guys. There’s still time for dessert.”

When they returned with plates piled high with their favorite dishes, everyone’s spirits were naturally at their highest.

“Cheers!”

After lightly clinking glasses, we quickly reached for our dishes.

The Genghis Khan meat is tender and the savory flavor that spreads in your mouth is irresistible.

The salmon roe on rice is a delightful crunchy texture, and the sweetness of the seafood soaks into your taste buds.

“The salmon roe is the best, isn’t it?”

“The crab is just as good as the salmon roe.”

“No, sashimi is the best.”

When Takimoto said he was impressed, Hayata countered with crab. Egami then interjected that it was sashimi, and gradually a mysterious battle began in which we showed each other what was on our plates.

Muranaka, looking calm and collected, took a bite of Genghis Khan and glanced at me.

“It’s not bad to eat with everyone like this.”

“What’s with that tone? Do you always eat alone?”

“No, I just usually eat alone.”

I was momentarily surprised by his words, but the warm atmosphere between us seemed a little more special.

At dessert time, everyone scatters to the buffet table again.

Muranaka-kun tried his hand at the soft-serve ice cream machine, and everyone laughed when he spilled the cream with too much vigor.

Egami took a piece of cake from each side, and at the end he said weakly, “I don’t know if I can finish it.”

“Don’t eat too much, boys. There’s always tomorrow.”

“Tomorrow we’ll have another good meal. We’re in Hokkaido, remember?”

By the time everyone had finished eating with smiles on their faces, they were so full they could hardly move.

Now I feel like I can live without eating for a while.

Muranaka rubbed his belly and said, “You can’t do that,” to which everyone laughed.

When we returned to the room, everyone seemed ready to fall straight into the futon.

“….Next time we’ll go to the hot springs,” Ryuki muttered, and everyone looked up, forgetting their fatigue.

The men must have been thinking the same thing.

The night in Hokkaido seemed to be far from over.
