It has become a regular occurrence for the five of us to eat lunch: me, Shimomura Taiyo, Ibata Atsushi, and two girls (Mizusaki Yayoi and Satouchi Yoko). We have been eating together for about a week now.
We were getting to know each other better and better. Ibata’s easy-going nature goes well with me. The two girls seem to be looking towards Taiyou. “Why should I eat with you guys?”

“Okay. I’m Kamiyama Fumika……. Taiyo kun and Nagatsuki are in the same junior high school with me, but we haven’t talked to each other much.”
“Kamiyama-san, I’m Mizusaki Yayoi. Nice to meet you.”
“I’m Satouchi Yoko. Nice to meet you.”
“I’m Ibata Atsushi. Nice to meet you. By the way, I have no intention of targeting Kamiyama-san, so feel free to come here.”

I said to Kamiyama.
“But still, I can’t believe that Nagatsuki really wants to eat with me. I was surprised. Is it possible that you have a crush on me?”
Kamiyama said to me with a smirk on her face.
“No, I don’t. We’re in the same junior high school, and I’ve been worried that you’ve been alone for so long.”
“Well, you’re right. I thought I’d have to talk to you eventually, too.”
“Then why didn’t you?”
“I missed the timing. You guys got to know these girls pretty quickly. I didn’t want to intrude.”

Mizusaki san said to Kamiyama.

Mizusaki-san turned toward Satouchi san.
“Yeah. Yayoi was very concerned about you.”

“Yes. You can call me Yayoi. Can I call you Fumika too?”
“Sure.”
“Then you can call me Yoko too.”
“Okay.”
Thus, we became a group of six.
