It has been about three weeks since we entered the school. We have been trying to avoid getting involved with girls as much as possible, but even so, more and more girls have been coming around Taiyo.
Especially the blonde gals and the girls from the basketball club come here often. Apparently, Taiyo helped the blonde gal when she was being unreasonably warned by the teacher. I can’t support him when he does something like that without my knowledge. She keeps inviting us to karaoke, but I keep telling her no.
The other is Yamaguchi-san. She is a member of the basketball team but not tall. Yamaguchi-san seems to be a friend of Mizusaki-san’s and I often see them talking. Apparently, she found out through Mizusaki that Taiyo used to be a member of the basketball club, and she started asking him to join the club.
“Taiyo kun, why don’t you come and visit the basketball club?”
“I said, We commute a long distance to school, so we can’t join the club.”

Lunch break. The president of the student council came to the school after the students had settled down and took Taiyo somewhere. Probably the student council office.
“Haa, Taiyo kun, you went away again today,”
Satouchi-san said sadly.
“That’s right.”
Mizusaki-san also looked sad.
“What is it with that student council president? Why don’t you at least do your own work by yourself?”
Kamiyama was angry.
The three of them were all looking for Taiyou, so they would get upset if he wasn’t there.
“Well, let’s go back to our seats,”
Kamiyama went back to her seat.
Satouchi stood up as well.
“Ah What about you, Yayoi?”
“I’m going to stay here for a little while longer.”
“Okay, I’ll be back.”
Satouchi-san went back to her seat. It’s rare that only Mizusaki-san stays behind. We’ve got a little more time during lunch break, so I guess she’s not busy.

I said to Mizusaki san.
“No, it’s not like that. It’s all right.”
Mizusaki-san said. I knew Mizusaki-san was kind.
“Since you stayed, let’s talk about something interesting about Taiyo.”
I’m sure she would be interested in a story about the sun.

“Just tell me a story about when you were in middle school.”
“Eh, about me?”
“Yeah.”
I see. Talking about Taiyo in his absence is like talking behind his back. So it’s safe to talk about me.
“But I don’t have anything interesting to say.”
“I want to hear about your love story, too.”
Ibata came in.
“Love stories, huh? Well, there was a girl I got along with a little bit and I wanted to confess my feelings to her.”
“Eh, really? What happened?”
Mizusaki said.
“She was also in love with Taiyo, as usual. So she was just trying to get close to him with me. I found out and that was the end of it.”
“I see. I didn’t know that happened.”
“What a terrible person”
Ibata said.
“Well, maybe so.
I don’t really want to remember it.
“But I’m sure you’ll have a good encounter in high school, Nagatsuki kun.”
Mizusaki-san followed up.
“Thank you, Mizusaki-san.”
“Y-yeah”
I was just a friend of the person she likes, but she followed up with me, and she really is a very kind person.
