Anri and Ur looked at Andras with a look, as if they were looking at a fool.

But Andras stared at me with a look of shock, unaware that he was being subjected to such a gaze.

“Now, Tale, you will follow my instructions.”

I no longer respond to the words spoken to me, and silently close the distance between me and Andras. As I slowly moved forward, I reactivated the body strengthening I had released earlier and regenerated my sword.

Andras reacted with a jerk and hurriedly assumed a fighting stance.

–Perhaps the unknown power that Andras had just activated was something that was trying to manipulate me. However, it did not activate as he wanted it to, and because it was unexpected, Andras was terribly distraught.

Did the magic barrier that I had deployed prevent it, or was it less effective because Andras was weakened? I don’t know why Andras’s technique didn’t work on me, but now was an opportune time since he was so upset. I gradually increased my speed, and eventually I ran across the ground and attacked Andras.

As if rewinding back to the beginning, my sword and Andras’s long claws collided, sending out a large number of sparks.

“Damn it! Why doesn’t my power work? Your magical organs have clearly been invaded by my power!”

“My magical organs are being invaded ……? I don’t know what you are talking about, but I will never obey you ……!”

With those words, I swung the sword, and somehow he managed to deal with it. However, he was unable to defend himself completely, and the clothes on his shoulders were cut and blood oozed out.

Andras distorts his face and uses all his strength to deflect my sword. Then, while losing his balance, he shouted in a loud voice.

“I commanded in the name of war! All the demons in the vicinity should gather here and finish off Tale!”

“This is what happened earlier–“

Immediately afterward, cries of demons rose from all directions. The demons that the adventurers had been dealing with earlier had apparently begun to move toward my location.

However, as far as I could see while continuing to deal with Andras, all of them were stopped by other adventurers before they reached me. Some of the demons could fly, but I could see them being shot down by magic at the edge of my vision.

I leave the demons to the others and continue to concentrate on Andras. I dodged a claw strike and popped the other claw, then delivered a side cleave to the empty torso. Andras can’t avoid it and blood sprays out, but he’s still far from being deeply wounded, and he’s breathing on his shoulder at a distance from me.

“Ugh…… The demons are obeying me as I commanded them with authority. So why doesn’t it work on you!”

Hearing what he just said, I get a hunch. I see, in other words, it’s being invaded by the power of Andras that he mentioned earlier…

“—In that valley, you were using some kind of ability to strengthen the demons. At the same time, you were making them into soldiers who would listen to any order. And it was being done to me, who had been there for three months. ……”

That makes sense. It is true that my magical power increased greatly after those three months. It is probably because my magical organs were strengthened by his power, just as Andras said earlier. Also, since Andras himself did not know the reason for my magical organ transformation, it is thought that it was something that was applied just by being at the bottom of the valley.

And, originally, such a being would probably have turned into a puppet of Andras.

But in fact, I did not, and here I am…

“Fuu—–!”

“G-Gyaaa-!”

The sword I wielded, sharp as lightning, finally inflicted a deep wound on Andras. I sever his left hand, which has long claws, from around the elbow and send it flying a short distance away.

Andras staggered back with a scream, and a large amount of blood spilled from the section of his left arm.

“Damn, how dare you ……!”

“I can’t take any more time. I’ll decide next time.”

Andras has wounds all over his body, not just on his arm. There is still a battle going on with the gathered monsters around me, so I have to finish off Andrus quickly and then head towards the others.

I look straight at Andras, who is backing away, and I activate my magic.

“Higoromo.”

White flames cover the sword, and the heat rising from it distorts the space around it.

In response, Andras released several small-scale magic spells. Flame bullets, ice spears, and magic arrows that look like solidified darkness. He probably made this choice because he understands that large magic will cut him down at a distance at the time of preparation.

However, that won’t work now. It would be tricky to some extent while cutting and tying, but now that I can move freely, I can deal with it all calmly.

I use my shimmering sword to cut down any magic that comes my way so that other adventurers will not be harmed. If the magic is focused on activation speed, then this kind of acrobatic trickery will suffice.

As I approach, carefully knocking down the magic, Andras continues to back away while still releasing magic.

“S-Stop! Don’t come!”

In the space left vacant by the battle with Andras, I moved gradually toward the perimeter. I thought that if I continued at this rate, we would be cornered by other adventurers, and that is when I decided to close the distance between me and Andras, even if I had to push a little harder to get there.

–I was about to do just that when I saw one of the adventurers breaking out of the crowd of those who were still fighting the demons and heading toward Andras. The moment I saw him, I shouted out.

“—No, don’t come!”

Next, from somewhere, I hear the voice of Ricardo shouting, “You idiot!”

I force myself to run, using my body reinforcement to take the magic, but I can’t make it in time. I see an adventurer who has escaped from the enclosure, raising his sword and slashing at Andras from behind.

“Hehe, the credit for defeating the boss is mine! Oraa! ——ah?”

Then, the sword strikes Andras in the back, and with a hard thud, it bounces off his back. The adventurer, his mouth gaping open, turned around and was grabbed by the head and lifted into the air.

“Stupid human, but convenient!”

Andras’ mouth curves into a grin, his expression revealing his amusement.

I was about to bite my teeth, thinking that he was going to take another hostage to stop me. However, the situation changed rapidly.

–Behind Andras, who had become so happy that he had lost his guard, there was a shadow moving quickly once again.

What was visible was a strand of lightly pigmented platinum hair. Anri, with her huge axe clad in purple electricity, struck a heavy blow to Andras’s arm, while fluttering the smooth white gold.

“Ugh……!”

The impact released the man, and he crawled away, gasping in pain.

The axe Anri swung bites halfway into his arm, sending lightning magic into Andras. With a puff of black smoke, Andras let out a yelp.

“Guooo! Damn it, all of you, all of you..! If this happens, I’ll take her!”

“Bad! Anri!”

“Too late! Reveal yourself, arena!”

Instantly, a dome of translucent purple walls spread out around Andras. The dome was completely separated from the outer space, leaving only Anri, who was close by, and me, who was about to run up to him, inside.

However, Anri paid no attention to this and put more strength into the axe she held in both hands.

“—Tale! It’s rather convenient that there are no other interruptions! While you’re at it, ……!”

“Gugyaaaa!!!”

The current running through the axe gained momentum, causing Andras to scream even more. However, having crossed swords and felt its physical strength, I know that this is not the end yet. I immediately tried to run to Anri, but Andras was quicker.

“One little girl like you is enough for instant invasion!”

“W-What!?”

Andras told Anri, who was in agony.

“—I command you in the name of war! Come down to my gates and strike down Tale!”
