Episode 33 – Relationships and stuff

“Don’t you need to have a proper talk with Rale san?”

Lepios glared at Sol with a slightly miffed look on his face.

“What’s the point of talking to her?　I couldn’t make her happy. That’s all there is to it.

“B-But you know what?　You went on this trip for her, right?　But that doesn’t make sense. ……!”

At Sol’s words, Lepios sighed heavily.

“The only thing is that she was so scared and sad about the devastation in the city that I thought it would be faster to fix the root cause of the problem. I have more magic than most people, though not as much as you, and I can use rare holy magic, so I thought it wouldn’t be too much to ask.”

Sol wondered if it was normal for someone to act so much just because their lover said that. That must be how much Lepios loved Rale, and how much he wanted to see her smile.

Lepios said this and headed for the room where Celes and the others were. Sol could not say anything once he was told that much.

Then, Sol and the others briefly talked about the next day. Once the conversation was over, Lepios went back to his room.

“I’d like to do something about it, but I don’t know if I should leave him alone right now.”

Carla’s words were met with a nod from Celes.

“Are you going out somewhere?”

“Leo has good friends. I was a little worried about him. Leo is such a logical person, I wondered if he could get along with others. When you were here before, I wondered if he had done something to Sol kun.”

Saying that, Helve hugged Sol and stroked his head. She stroked him vigorously as if he were a pet, so it seemed like she stroked him as if he were a younger brother, but being hugged by a grown woman made Sol nervous.

“Sol, you understand, don’t you? You’ve made a good friend, Leo!”

“No, it’s not just me, I think Celes and Carla understand, too! I’m not the only one!”

“Really? ……?　That makes me feel much safer!”

With that, Herve finally let go of Sol. He wanted to punch himself for thinking that after all, she was definitely bigger than Celes.

Even so, the moment she let go his eyes couldn’t help but go to her chest, and Sol looked at her face without letting her know. Herve looked at Sol with a look of genuine relief.

“Um, Why do you care so much about Lepios?”

“I guess there are different kinds of siblings!　Some siblings are really close like friends, while others live together but don’t talk to each other!　In my case, I just want to be bothered with them!”

“I see. But, well, unless there is something wrong, I think they care about it somehow!　What is it? Are you jealous of siblings?”

Is he envious? Sol wondered vaguely.

He had an older brother in a previous life.But he was not the type like Herve.
He felt that Herve would be cheerful and caring even with a person of his own age, and perhaps that was what he was jealous of. Sol thought about that.

“I didn’t have any siblings, so I was the only one at home.

When Sol said this, Herve hugged and patted him again.

“What a good and honest boy!　You should be my little brother now!　Sol, you’re more than welcome!”

As he was being left to his own anyway, Lepios came down from his room on the second floor and pulled Sol off her. Sol laughed, because Lepios was so angry that he had to ask if she had said something unnecessary.
