Tojo was there.

It had been a long time since he had seen her in plain clothes, but what came over Amamiya was more sickness than happiness.

He felt like throwing up and moved away from Karina, who was kneeling

“W-why …… is Karina-san in Takaaki’s room, …… what were you doing there?”

Amamiya could not answer.

All he had to do was explain that he and Karina had become good friends over the topic of games and that he was going to train at his own house in order to pass the entrance exam for the game research club.

Recalling the malice, he couldn’t even look at her face, let alone respond to her.

“Don’t be silent, answer me. Don’t ignore my questions, even though you are just Takaaki.”

“Tojo-san, I’ll explain it to you instead, so could you calm down? Takaaki kun is frightened.”

Karina, who couldn’t stand still, intervened between the two of them.

Her tone was calm, but the look she gave Tojo was absolute zero.

“What is it that you say …… Takaaki is frightened of me? I mean, this is between me and him, so please don’t get in my way.”

“It is obvious that Tojo-san is the one. After all, anyone would feel bad if they were dumped in such a horrible way, right? Or did you think he be able to talk as usual? ”

“……!”

Tojo’s face twitched with extreme unhappiness at Karina’s comment.

Amamiya not answering, Karina defending him. Tojo didn’t like the way she looked as if she was the bad guy.

“I didn’t get a chance to ask you before, but I don’t have a choice. Karina-san, where did you find out that I had dumped Takaaki? Could it be that Takaaki’s foolishness was the reason?”

“Yes, well.”

“So you approached him out of pity for him who was hurt by it. Takaaki also has a bad character. He soaked up people’s kindness and even made them fall on their knees. It’s vulgar.”

Tojo smirks and makes fun of Amamiya who is shrinking behind Karina.

“Because no matter how hard you try, there’s no way you’ll be able to date the most beautiful girl in school. Haha, don’t look like an idiot… Takaaki and Karina-san either.”

“How could I possibly feel sorry for him…… ?”

Karina deliberately raised her hands and shook her head in dismay.

If she sympathize with the people whose confessions are rejected, she will end up having to give a knee to all the men that Karina has rejected up to so far.

“What are you saying….”

“It’s embarrassing to say it here, and I didn’t want to say it because I didn’t want to be thought of as a woman with no delicacy. That means I’m glad Takaaki kun didn’t get taken by another girl.”

Tojo did not miss it.

That impenetrable salt-of-the-earth beautiful girl Karina glanced at Amamiya, who would be overwhelmingly outmatched no matter how you look at it, and then blushed and said in a small voice.

Tojo understood what it meant because she was the same maiden.

“….. please explain.”

Since Amemiya’s room was too small, the three of them decided to move to the living room on the first floor.

On the sofa, Anna was sitting cross-legged with a clouded look on her face.

As soon as she saw Tojo, she frowned.

Tojo was apologetic at her attitude of apparent rejection, but it was more about Amamiya and Karina.

Amamiya, on the other hand, was still unable to face Tojo properly, and remained silent all the way downstairs, even on his way downstairs.

Tojo was annoyed by this attitude, but managed to suppress it.

“…That’s why I came to your house. It’s not because I sympathize with Takaaki-kun, or because we’re dating. We’re important partners, not lovers.”

Karina managed to finish her explanation without regard to the awkward atmosphere between the Amamiya family and Tojo.

Putting aside the fact that her voice was trembling here and there, Tojo let out a sigh.

“I see. It’s like a …… movie where two friends from a game they’ve been playing for a long time meet each other in real life and find out they’re classmates.”

There was still a hint of doubt in Tojo’s eyes.

For those who have not experienced these things, it’s a very improbable story.

“But otherwise I don’t understand why Takaaki and Karina-san got along so well. I won’t say completely, but I’ll try to believe it at least for the time being. ……”

With an expression that still didn’t add up, Tojo put her hand on her chin and pondered.

Even Tojo, who has not had much to do with Karina, noticed that she was being unusually straightforward.

(Known each other since middle school, so what? Me and Takaaki have known each other since elementary school. …… I can’t believe you’re so hung up on this woman. ……)

Tojo was trying to keep her cool.

Because she’s not an idiot who goes crazy just because the blood rushes to her head.

Karina let out a sigh of relief that she understood, and Amamiya, who had been looking down, finally raised his head.

However, Tojo, not wanting to let things end like this, had a plan in her head to reverse the situation.

And the next move she came up with was…

“Takaaki, I’m going to be honest with you. I said those terrible things …… to you.”

Tojo stands up and moves next to Amamiya, who is across from her.

To avoid provoking him, she sat down so that their bodies were not close together while speaking to him in a gentle voice.

Amamiya’s body trembled for a moment, but the fact that he did not run away from her meant that he was listening.

Tojo continued her words so as not to miss this perfect opportunity.

“I was trying to change you. I said it in a very strong tone, but it was also for Takaaki’s sake.”

She whispered in a tone as if she was nursing a child and tried to touch Amamiya’s hand.

However, as expected, Amamiya would not allow that.

“…Ah, maybe so. But…not about me. What I can’t forgive is that you broke Anna’s promise, but you came rushing into the house pretending you didn’t care. ”

With those words, everyone’s eyes are drawn to Anna.

Anna had been quiet, hugging her pillow, but tears were streaming down her eyes.

She did not know that Amamiya had confessed his feelings to Tojo.

All that, and that he had been rejected so badly.

Anna has no idea how much it hurts people who have had their hearts broken.

But she had heard many stories of people in the world who took their own lives in their own hands because of the chance of having their hearts broken.

Her brother might have suffered the same way, which made Anna’s heart ache even more.

“I’m sorry …… Anna. But I want you to understand. Takaaki and Anna are very important to me, they are like family. I’m really sorry for breaking my promise.”

“W-Well, that’s not important. ……”

Guess she’s apologizing for curry.

However, that kind of promise didn’t matter to Anna.

She was sadder than anything about what Tojo had done to her brother and how she no longer saw him.

“From now on, I will teach Anna how to cook every day. I’ll teach you all the secret recipes that have been handed down in my family, too.”

“…. yes”

Anna wiped her tears and nodded.

Because she didn’t want to blame Tojo any longer.

Satisfied that Anna had forgiven her, Tojo moved her body closer to Amamiya, whose expression still did not clear up, and held his hand.

As it was, she brought her face close—

“Can you redo your confession from that day ……?”

Tojo pulled her face away from Amemiya’s and said with a flaming face

She put her lips on top of his and kissed him.

With wide-open eyes, Amamiya stared at Tojo.

Amamiya’s first kiss was stolen by her childhood friend, whom he had had a crush on for so long.

“…..”

Amamiya was not the only one.

Even Karina, who was sitting nearby and watching them, was so astonished that her mouth was half open.

She was shocked.

“Takaaki, I like you too. You helped me when I was being bullied, and I have loved you ever since elementary school. From now on, let me stay at home not as your childhood friend, but as your lover. Let me stay by your side.”

Tojo had no intention of letting Amamiya go.

It was precisely because she had missed out on it that she reflected on her own roundabout words and actions.

If she was going to change Amamiya, she should do it while accompanying him, not by pushing him away.

That was the conclusion she came to.

“Chika ……”

Tojo’s face was filled with happiness as he had never seen it before when he called her name.

It already felt like they were lovers.

“You know, Takaaki, now we are in love, aren’t we? That’s why.”

Tojo took one cold look at Karina, who was trying to hold back her tears by holding her mouth, and then said

“You mustn’t invite her to your house anymore.”

Is it supposed to be like the childhood friend put him down so much to make him improve himself? Tojo is going about this a weird and mean way.

If the next chapter isn’t a violent outburst of emotions from MC for all the shit she’s given him over the years and rejecting her, I’m dropping this and giving it a 1 on NU. This chapter already pisses me off greatly with how self-serving and pretentious the CF is being.

If I get trashtalked on my confession, I’d hold a bit of grudge but I won’t hate the person I confessed to~

I’ll just move on and close my heart to the person I confessed to~

Friends, mabye. Anymore than that will irritate me~

Feels like the author really wasn’t up to the task when it comes to resolving the conflict between the CF and the MC. Like, they had a concept, but the execution is just terrible here. It’s not even very clear what’s even happening in this chapter, like the sister acts as if she knows what happened between them but no one ever told her about it. And the sister is super upset about how the CF treated him, but at the same time she’s like “OH, OK, YOU’RE GONNA TEACH ME TO MAKE CURRY AGAIN, SWEET” and sort of immediately forgets about it. It’s just a weirdly written chapter.
