“What kind of relationship does Tojo-san have with Takaaki-kun? If you don’t explain that properly, I won’t give you Takaaki-kun.”

“….”

Tojo frowned as if she had bitten a bitter insect, crossed her arms and turned away to hide her agitation.

“Me and this guy, we’re childhood friends,…….”

“Heee ……… it’s Tojo-san, isn’t it?’

Karina’s eyes grow colder as Tojo answers dissatisfied her.

Amemiya (Rein) talks to Karina (Dragonhead) in the game about being rejected by her childhood friend.

Karina’s impression of Tojo is the worst.

“See, I’ve convinced you. Now send Takaaki over here”

“No way.”

Karina stuck out her tongue in a mocking way.

Tojo, who had been subjected to a low-level agitation, let loose and did not immediately catch up with her understanding, but in the next moment her stunned expression turned into a frightened fierceness.

Amamiya, caught between them, had a bad feeling and tried to apologise to Tojo on Karina’s behalf, but.

“Tojo-san doesn’t like Takaaki-kun because he’s shady and creepy, does she?”

“Nah …… where did you get that?”

“I don’t think so. I mean, look at his cute face. It’s not gross at all.”

Karina brushed Amamiya’s bangs and said.

Amamiya, who for the first time in his life has received the reputation of being cute, is thrilled by Karina, who smiles at him.

Or rather, the distance is strange.

“E-even I, that much ………!”

Tojo tried to say something in a hurry, but she clammed up, as if she didn’t want to admit it.

“No, that’s not what I mean, Takaaki! What is this!”

Amamiya’s shoulders trembled at the sound of Tojo’s angry voice, which seemed to be misleading.

He’s been yelled at a lot since middle school, but he still can’t get used to it.

“How could an outsider, Karina-san, know about your confession? perhaps you have told anyone else about it!?”

“No, no, Chika.
This is a bit of a miracle, and even if I explained it to …… you probably wouldn’t believe me.”

“Of course! I’m not going to believe you! What? You’re trying to harass me because you were rejected! You’re such a hopeless
idiot!”

Amamiya is overwhelmed by Tojo’s power and loses the chance to explain himself. Once this happens, she can’t stop.

He has no choice but to continue being told one-sidedly.

“I don’t know how you got on with Karina-san! She’s going to dump you anyway, sooner or later! No matter how hard you try! You’ll never change! You have to live and die alone in a dark world! That’s why ……!”

The sermon given during the confession was at least reasonable talk, but this time Tojo was different. This was just speculation.

Amamiya did not feel that he could grasp what drove her to such an extent.

“Ah, I see. If you don’t like Tojo-san, you can do whatever you want. It has nothing to do with me. Because, even if you’re like that, Takaaki kun, I like you.”

(LLLLLlll-like —-!?)

Amamiya and Tojo are astonished by Karina’s statement.

How many people in this world can say what they think so straightforwardly?

Philosophy on a global scale spread through Amemiya’s brain.

—I can see the universe.

“LL-Lll-Llll”

His childhood friend Tojo had the same reaction. For some reason, with a few tears in her eyes.

Seeing the opportunity, Karina pulled Amemiya’s hand.

Then, she fled from the spot at full speed.

“W-wait! The conversation isn’t over yet…”

Tojo’s voice chasing after her can be heard from behind.

Amamiya is scared that she will soon be caught up with, but he is brought into an empty classroom just around the corner.

Karina held Amamiya’s mouth with her hand and made a gesture of quiet.

Amamiya almost fainted at the smell of the girls’ distinctive good smell and the closeness of their faces, but he heard Tojo moving away and was soon able to move her hand away.

“She was a very scary person~. We haven’t chatted much, but to think that she’s that scary when she’s angry, Takaaki-kun, who’s been her childhood friend for so long, is amazing.”

“……”

“Hmm? What’s wrong?”

“No,……, that thing you said earlier,………”

Amamiya’s face turned bright red and he tried to string together the words even though he was embarrassed.

“You said you liked …… me.”

This was the first time a girl had said something that could be interpreted as a favor to Amamiya, and he couldn’t help but listen.

Karina is a natural. She may have said that she liked Amamiya not as a member of the opposite gender, but as a friend.

(Bad.. isn’t checking it like saying to yourself that you’re conscious of it! Idiot! I’m an idiot!)

Amamiya regrets having listened.

If there was a hole, he would want to go in it.

However, Karina did not laugh at Amamiya’s question.

On the contrary, she looks at him with a curious expression in response to the statement she made.

“…… Hmmm, I wonder.”

She puts her hand on her chin and thinks, trying to come up with an answer.

Waiting nervously to see what answer she would give, Karina had an insight.

She answered with a mischievous laugh.

“It’s a Secret!”

Karina poked Amamiya, who froze, on the nose and folded her hands behind her back.

Skipping along in a good mood, she heads for the classroom door.

The truth of “I like you” that even the hardcore honest Karina could not answer.

You never know what can happen in life.

Amemiya might be wondering what her “like” means for a long time to come, but she might tell him sooner or later, so he decided to wait patiently.

(Chika, ……)

Why did she call me out?

Amamiya could not imagine what they were going to talk about alone.

If he’s going to be denied by her from now on, he has to be more serious than ever.

— You will never change!

(I’ll become a man who will never be looked down upon again. ……)

He’ll become cool enough to make Tojo Chika gasp, and live a fulfilling high school life surrounded by many friends.

And, if he can, he wants to get a girlfriend.

Karina watches Amamiya, who is determined to do so, with her hand on her chest.

You don’t need to prove anything to that crazy ex-childhood friend
of yours.

Wow, Tojo putting him down like that. From what I’ve seen on other similar JPs, it’s usually because she knows MC can be more popular. Maybe she had good intentions in trying to look like a bad guy but it’s a stupid move.

Yeah, neither the MC nor the female lead is a piece of shit so far. I don’t mind so much if a side character like Tojo sucks, but if I can’t sympathize with the main couple, it really does become unreadable.
