I was returning to class from the locker room when I was suddenly surrounded by several of my female classmates. They looked at me with anger on their faces and contempt.

“Yagami, what the hell do you think you’re doing vandalizing the girls’ locker room?”

I finally understood what Kuramoto had just said.
He must be trying to falsely accuse me. Of course, I had no idea what he was talking about, so I calmly tried to deny it.

“I don’t think it was me.”
“There were signs of vandalism, so I was about to go talk to the teacher when Kuramoto told me that he had seen Yagami in the girls’ locker room.”

Apparently, Kuramoto told his classmates a story that had no basis in fact. As I was beginning to think about how to prove my innocence, Kuramoto suddenly shouted out.

“Hey, guys. I found this in Yagami’s desk.”

Kuramoto, who was in front of my desk before I knew it, took something black out of my desk and threw it at me.
It almost hit me in the face, so I quickly caught it, but one of the girls in front of me forcefully took it from me.

“H-Hey. Isn’t this a skirt?!”

I found someone else’s skirt in my desk. Then I realized why Kuramoto had gone somewhere pretending to accompany me to the infirmary.
Probably he broke into the girls’ locker room, stole someone’s skirt, and put it in the desk to make it look like I did it.

“I couldn’t find Reona’s skirt, so you must have stolen it.”
“Really, Yagami, you’re the worst.”

The class is beginning to look at me with disapproving glances and voices, and to put it bluntly, the situation is bad. The situation was clearly bad.
Kuramoto then started claiming that I was the one who had stormed the girls’ locker room and stolen their skirts. Naturally, I denied it, but the teacher didn’t seem to believe me at all.
Kuramoto is a good-looking and charming student, and with so many of his classmates accusing me of stealing their skirts, there was no way they would believe me. I was under complete siege, and I was beginning to think that all was not well.

“I don’t think Ryoya-kun is the culprit,”
“Ryoya would never do such a thing.””

Reona and Riona were standing in the direction of the voice, and while the class was silent upon hearing their voices, Kuramoto broke the silence.

“I know you don’t want to believe it, Reona and Riona, but it’s all Yagami’s doing,”
“By the way, Kuramoto-kun, on what basis are you saying that?”

Reona asks, and Kuramoto speaks up with a relaxed expression on his face.

“Yagami got hurt during gym class and went to the infirmary, but he didn’t come back to the field for a long time. After he was treated and left the infirmary, no one was watching him, so he must have done it then.”
“It’s true that Ryoya may not have an alibi, but that doesn’t prove anything conclusive.”

When Riona immediately refuted this, Kuramoto started talking with a face as relaxed as ever.

“I’m sorry, but you have the definitive proof right there: Reona’s skirt. It was in Yagami’s desk, so common sense says he’s the culprit.”
“If you insist so much, let’s have a fingerprint analysis done to make sure it’s all black and white.””

Reona said such a thing. When I heard this, I thought she might get upset, but she didn’t.

“I don’t mind at all.”

I began to feel bad for Kuramoto, who said this in a matter-of-fact manner. I was not happy about it because I had touched her skirt with my hand when it was thrown at me earlier.
Therefore, my fingerprints would almost certainly be found on the skirt, and there was a possibility that it would be treated as evidence that I had stolen it. Kuramoto must not have left any evidence because he was so confident.

“Fingerprint analysis can even tell the time of the touch. So this proves Ryoya’s innocence.”

The moment he heard Riona’s words, Kuramoto’s expression lost its composure. In fact, he even looks impatient.

“Hey, Kuramoto, what’s going on? You seem a little nervous.”
“……, I’m pretty sure the fingerprint analysis didn’t tell the time.”

Kuramoto’s face was slightly distorted as he tried to keep his voice down. He looked as if he didn’t want to believe it.

“That was in the past. With today’s technology, we know everything.”

“And just to be on the safe side, let’s get a DNA test done on the hairs in the girls’ locker room. Then we’ll know for sure who stole my skirt.”

Hearing their words, Kuramoto’s face instantly turns blue. There is no room for complacency on Kuramoto’s face.
The classmates and teachers who had been watching the exchange finally realized who the culprit was and began to give Kuramoto reproachful glances and shouts.
In the end, Kuramoto could no longer stand the atmosphere and confessed everything. He cried and apologized, but of course he could not be forgiven and was taken to the student guidance office.
It seems that he cannot escape expulsion for breaking into the girls’ locker room, stealing their skirts, and making up false charges against me, and it looks like he will have to leave this school. Furthermore, since Reona is not willing to accept a settlement for the theft, it has been confirmed that a conviction will be added to his record.

Kinda weird since a testimony from the school nurse would be better. Also I noticed but why do Japanese schools don’t have any security cameras?

Because the crime rate is very low in Japan.
