Synopsis
Segawa Minato, a sophomore in high school, was constantly being taken advantage of—by his childhood friend, his classmates, his upperclassmen, and his underclassmen alike.
“You’re not my boyfriend.”
“We’re friends, so please.”
“You’re like a little brother to me.”
“You wouldn’t say no to a senior, would you?”
Even though they told him he wasn’t a romantic prospect, they only turned to him when they were in a bind.
Carrying their bags, listening to their problems, running errands, and keeping them entertained—it was all up to Minato.
There was no way he wouldn’t be hurt. Still, he’d always just laughed it off, telling himself, “It’s my own fault for getting my hopes up.”
Then one day, Miyahara Shiori—the only girl in his class—said to him:
“I like you, Segawa-kun. Not because you’re convenient. I genuinely like you.”
For the first time, Minato was on the receiving end of direct affection, so he decided to start dating Shiori.
But then—
“Haven’t you been a little cold lately?”
“You’re changing just because you got a girlfriend.”
“Are you putting your girlfriend before your childhood friend?”
The heroines who had always said, “I don’t like you,” began to feel hurt the moment Minato distanced himself from them.
But that wasn’t because Minato had changed.
It was simply because he had a girlfriend now, so the time and kindness he’d always offered without a second thought were finally being directed toward the person who mattered most to him.

He won’t go back to being the guy who’s just there when it’s convenient.
