Ryu’s daily routine is to dive into dungeons and hunt for prey.

Ryu can teleport from the city to the dungeon at any time.

He would select the appropriate level and enter the dungeon, destroying and storing his prey.

All the demons in the dungeon he visits are instantly killed by being drained of their magic stone. Their corpses were also stored in subspace.

It took only a few minutes. All the demons in one level of the dungeon are annihilated.

The monsters in the dungeon can’t even fight against Ryu’s ability, which has been given the power of the goddess who controls time and space, who is said to be the strongest goddess.

Since time stands still inside the subspace created by magic for storage, the corpses of stored demons do not rot. The capacity is almost unlimited, so they store more and more and sell them in small quantities at the commercial guilds.

For Ryu, dungeons are no longer for hunting. It is just a simple task, just like the chores of daily life.

― ― ― ― ― ― ― ―

That day, an adventurer named Sal tangled with Ryu. There were hardly any adventurers who tangled with Ryu anymore, but Sal had just returned from a long-term escort request and, not believing the rumor that Ryu had become as strong as a different person, insulted him and, on the contrary, aggressively tangled with him.

Of course, Sal was abducted into the dungeon by Ryu’s teleportation magic.

The place that Ryu chose at random happened to be the same level where Kate and her friends had been attacked and captured by arachnids.

As soon as Ryu arrived at the dungeon, he “stored” all the monsters in that level so that they would not be disturbed. The arachnid monster that had captured Kate and the others had also disappeared.

Sal was underestimating Ryu’s skill so much that Ryu decided to accompany him in a little battle to show him what he was capable of.

At first the adventurers put up a good fight, but gradually Ryu got more and more serious, and in the end the difference in their abilities became apparent and the winner was decided.

In fact, with Ryu’s power, he could have killed his opponent in an instant while he was completely unaware of it…..that would have ended with the opponent being unable to recognize anything.

Rather than instantly killing the enemy with overwhelming force, match it to the opponent and defeat it with a force that exceeds that. If possible, try to force your opponent to use their favorite fighting style and overwhelm them. By doing so, you can clearly see the difference in ability.

Once the difference in ability is made clear, Ryu’s punishment begins…….

He was an adventurer who came to this town last year and did not participate in raids, and since he was mainly an escort request adventurer, he was not involved in any incident. Since this could be confirmed by using the divine eye to read Sal’s mind, he decided to just hurt him a little.

Of course, he did not intend to let him off scot-free, as such behavior involving newcomers and weak adventurers is not something to be praised.

He was forced to reflect on the foolishness of not heeding the advice of the other adventurers and getting involved with Ryu himself.

After the punishment, Ryu took the now-obedient Sal back to town and checked with his divine eye to see if any demons had repopped, only to find that there was a life-sign inside the dungeon that was not a demon.

He had not noticed it earlier because he had stored only the demons with magic stones in a streamlined rush job.

Ryu teleports Sal to the town and heads to a place where there are signs of life, where he discovers Kate and the others tied up in a rope.

[…H…help me !]

It was Mark who, though weak, desperately shouted out.

Kate also desperately begged Ryu for help.

But Ryu’s answer was cold.

No wonder. When he was left in the dungeon, it was Kate, of all people, who had cut the muscles in his legs so that he could not move. The other members knew about the plan to leave Ryu behind and kept quiet about it.

Kate apologized desperately for that, hoping he would forgive her. She said she didn’t want to do it either, but she had no choice because of the order.

But Ryu’s answer was cold.

[How could I ever forgive you?]

But no matter how badly they treated him, she was the woman he once loved. The other members of the group were also classmates. He was sure that some of them had no choice but to do what they were ordered to do.

I could not forgive them, but could I at least make them feel at ease without making them suffer? But then Ryu suddenly noticed something at the back of the room where the spider had been. It seemed to be a spider egg. The inside of the room was slightly transparent, and he knew that a large number of spiderlings would hatch soon.

The hatched spiders would need food. Perhaps that is why the parent spiders were storing food.

Ryu told Kate about the spiderlings and told her to experience the feeling of being left behind.

He will come back tomorrow. Kate and the others looked desperate when Ryu told them that he would save them if they were alive then.

If the spiders hatch before Ryu returns tomorrow, Kate and the others will be used as food for the spiders, and their internal organs will be sucked out of them while they live.

All they could do was pray.

[It’s about time.]

The next morning, Ryu returned to the dungeon. There, he found many hatched spiderlings, which were feeding on Kate and the others, sticking tubes into their bodies and sucking nutrients from them.

When all the spiders were exterminated, Kate and the others were found shriveled up after being sucked of their bodily fluids.

But they were not dead yet.

In fact, Ryu knew that the spiders did not kill them immediately, but consumed them slowly as food.

Ryu used his recovery magic to help Kate and the others.

Ryu’s recovery magic was completely different from healing magic such as heal. It is a time-reversal magic that rewinds time and returns the body to its original state. As long as they did not die, any injuries could be restored to their original state.

Kate and the others came back to life.

Ryu thougth if he was naive —she had slashed him and left him behind, and he thought at first that they would definitely kill him—but he was wrong. The fact is that they invited him to the party as a former classmate.

Even the fact that he was fired was because he was incompetent.

Regardless of how he felt in his gut, it was also true that Kate had been kind to him on the surface.

It must have been a terrifying experience for Kate and the others to die while being sucked to death by a spider, and he fully understood the fear of being left behind.

The members of the “Dawn Star” were rescued by Ryu and returned to the town by teleportation, but their hearts were so broken by the experience that they decided to take a break from adventuring and return to their hometown for a while.

Kate had shown some signs of lingering feelings for Ryu, but after hearing Kate’s innermost thoughts after she was fired, Ryu could no longer bring himself to return to Kate as a lover.

Kate, in fact, really liked Ryu.

However, when she heard that Ryu had been sold into slavery, she was so upset that she was surprised at herself and could do nothing, and time passed. By the time she heard about it, it was too late.

She was so depressed about not having done anything that when Ryu came back to school as Thunder’s slave, she just smiled affectionately at him and went along with the conversation, but was unable to talk to him properly about the matter.

Then again, Ryu was bought by another nobleman and left.

She thought she would never see Ryu again, but as an adventurer, she met him again in the town of Mimru. It was a real pleasure. But by then, Kate was already dating Mark.

Mark was aware of Kate’s feelings for Ryu and was jealous. Mark suggested to Kate that it would be better for her future happiness if she dumped Ryu properly and let him give up as an adventurer.

Indeed, Ryu did not seem to have any talent. However, Kate also thought that Ryu, who had a good heart, would be able to lead a happy life in another profession without becoming an adventurer.

For that reason, she played the role of a terrible woman, and she dumped Ryu.

It was for Ryu’s sake.

But where did it all go wrong? Was it because she felt guilty for the terrible things she had said to Ryu?

Once Ryu was gone, I didn’t have to suffer the pangs of conscience. Before she knew it, Kate’s judgment had become distorted. Kate was desperate to survive and grow as an adventurer, but that was just an excuse.

After all was said and done.

Kate returned to her point of origin and reaffirmed her feelings for Ryu, but it was too late for everything. It is after everything is over.

Kate is sure that Ryu will think of her as a terrible woman, a slut.

That’s how terrible she was.

Even if she said now that she didn’t mean what she said, what she had done was unforgivable.

She cut off Ryu’s leg, left him in the dungeon, and tried to kill him. She had no right to be beside Ryu, and Kate knew it.

From now on, Kate and Ryu’s lives would never cross paths again.

Kate wept silently……
