Episode 31 – How to use social media

When I, Tachibana Ken-woke up in the morning, I went to the washroom.

It was a small, empty room in an apartment.

I had recently been going to and staying in luxurious apartments, so the difference between waking up in my own home like this was too much for me to bear and I sighed.

“Well, this is normal.”

I open the refrigerator and take out some milk.

I check the expiration date. It’s still safe.

I check my phone while eating the sweet bread I bought at the convenience store.

It is usual to receive a good morning message from Mei.

Just reading the message, I can’t help but chuckle. I want to learn from her cheerful personality.

No other messages have arrived, but just in case, I’ll check the social media tweets of the girls I’m in charge of.

Hayase Ayana.

My childhood friend and ex-girlfriend from junior high school.

As a streamer with many female fans, her social media has many replies from accounts that are clearly female.

Whenever Ayana tweets [Good morning, everyone] she receives hundreds of replies within minutes.

Some of them would reply, [Good morning, big sister !] Some of them even call Ayana ‘Big sis’ which is probably proof that many people think of Ayana as if she were a valuable star.

“She’s still putting it up today…….”

What surprised me the most when I started checking her social media is that she posts her full outfit titled [Today’s Outfit] for her fans who go to work at 7am every morning.

She also tweeted about where she bought it, why she chose this outfit, and so on, which should be appreciated by female fans as it is easy to imitate and helps them decide what to wear for the day.

As for the “extreme fans” that Ayana first asked for advice on how to deal with, Kurogane and I took care of it together, so there are no strange fans on social media.

Well, she has always been an honor student.

As for Ayana, she is not a problem. Next.

Kaga Touko.

…..My ex-girlfriend from high school. 2 years older than me, 24 years old.

Her active name is Yagusa Touka, and she streams ASMR for male fans.

Her social media has to be watched more closely than the other two.

Why is that, the answer is simple. She tweets on social media only once or twice a week–but when she does, the content is often quite extreme.

For example, she tweets something like, [I’m getting so horny ♡] or [You guys don’t have girlfriends anyway, so you’re still doing it right after listening to my stream today, aren’t you?].

These are completely out of line, but for some reason, in her case, they don’t cause a storm. Rather, it’s more like, [Please cuss me more, Miss !]……well, many of her fans are masochist men, so it seems that her tweets are well received by them.

However, if she tweets too much, she is told by her superiors to stop it before it becomes a problem.

So once, when I gently advised her, she said, [Because I’m so horny. Oh, come over to my house now and calm me down, won’t you…..?] so now it’s lawless,  and I stopped saying anything.

“……”

Nako Mei.

My ex-girlfriend from college, 3 years younger than me, 19 years old.

She is very popular as VTuber Kanatsu Kanako.

As for her, there is nothing wrong with social media and stream. Rather, she is too perfect to need to talk about it.

As a former idol, she knows how to use social media, and more importantly, she understands what kind of tweets will please her fans.

She is not problematic, and she updates frequently.

She is so good at capturing the hearts and minds of her fans that you can tell by watching her stream that she is going to be popular.

—But the problem is her private life.

Compared to the other two, she has a clear “on” and “off” routine.

She calls me every chance she gets, just like she sends me a good morning message early in the morning. She will try to invite me over to her house on the pretext of work, and often asks me to stay over because of work.

When I tell her that I have plans with another girl, she gets very grumpy and makes a meaningful comment in her stream that day, so I can’t neglect managing her private life.

Well, managing her private life mainly means going on a date at home and having sex.

“…..Ahem.”

Let’s stop thinking about it in the morning, I’m about to go to work.

“Now, let’s go.”

It was time to go to work, and I went to the office.

Basically, the office is a free-work environment, but on Mondays, all managers have to go to the office because of the regular meetings.

The train ride took more than ten minutes.

When I arrived, I felt multiple stares.

“Hey, Tachibana kun !”

Sagara san called out to me, cutting through the slightly awkward air.

He still had the same small fat figure and a big smile on his face. He looked like a mascot character, which made me feel at ease.

He is my senior, though.

“Good morning, Sagara san.”

“Good morning. I heard we have a meeting in the conference room, so let’s go.”

As I was following Sagara san, a small voice said to me.

“Well, I guess people don’t know how to treat you after what happened.”

By “the case,” he was referring to Kanatsu Kanako’s expose on Jinguuji, which she had done in order to hunt him down.

The case is that she used a collaborator named Sena Nanaka to record the audio from the hotel and broadcast it on a live stream.

Even though a little time has passed since then, people around me are still looking at me in a somewhat distant way, not the way they would look at a single newcomer.

“I don’t think what Kanako did or what you did was wrong. Because it is natural for a human being to give a helping hand to a junior who is in trouble. However, I think that everyone is stuck on the fact that you are cooperating with that Kanako.”

Kanatsu Kanako–Mei, is the type of person who completely shuts down all interaction with anyone other than me, to put it bluntly.

Even my predecessor, Kato san, she only talks to a few times a month and has only visited my house once.

She who builds walls with others like that is cooperating with me on this case, and if anything, it was Mei who appointed me as the person in charge.

Some may suspect such a relationship…….

“Tachibana kun, can I ask you one question?”

“Yes, go ahead.”

“You’re not in a relationship…..with Kanako tan, are you?”

Like a maiden in love, Sagara san asked me with an upward look.

“That’s not true. The only reason why she cooperated with me in this case was because I was in charge of her, and there was no one else she could rely on.”

“I-I know, right, that Kanako tan is….ahaha, I see.”

The actual “I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

Sagara san laughs, even though he has a slight doubt in his mind, and I laugh in return.

“Oh, now that I think about it, it’s about today’s meeting.”

Sagara san changes the topic as if to change the strange atmosphere.

“The truth is, there has been an increase in the number of cases recently of streaming companies going to the homes of streamers and spreading the personal information they obtain on the Internet or becoming victims of stalkers.”
