While listening to Noeru and Sayu’s awkward conversation, which sounded like a post-divorce couple, I was left alone in the kitchen to prepare dinner.

“Well, the main course is steak, so white rice is a must, right?”

Noeru eats a lot of rice when she eats meat, so we have to take that into consideration.

I set the rice cooker to fast cooking mode and then looked in the vegetable compartment of the refrigerator.

It’s not a bad idea to make a salad as usual, but …… it’s a steak after all. A mashed potato and carrot glace is also a good option as a side dish.

Staring at the cook pad, I decide on the menu. I pick up the potatoes and carrots, wash them in the sink, peel them, and start cooking.

First, mashed potatoes.

I cut the peeled potatoes into pieces and put them in a pot on the fire.

While I am waiting for the potatoes to boil, I prepare the carrot glaze, which is a familiar dish at steak restaurants.

I cut the washed carrots into spears about 5 cm apart and throw them into a frying pan, mixing them with water, butter, salt, and sugar, and bring them to a boil over the fire.

After simmering in the pan for a while, the shiny carrot glace is gradually completed with the thick smell of melted butter and the slightly sweet and slightly burnt caramelized smell of melted sugar.

After the potatoes are finished boiling, the potatoes are mashed into a paste and transferred to a baking dish, and the butter and milk used in the previous glace are added to the dish with the potatoes. After the cooking is finished, the potatoes are thoroughly mixed and seasoned with salt and pepper.

“Okay, that should do it.”

The carrot glace, mashed potatoes, and two of the garnishes were ready in no time.

“So much for the garnish. Now for the main course, the steak.”

I took the meat out of the refrigerator with a grin.

I thought it would be a good idea to grill the steak with garlic and soy sauce as if it were a man’s dish, but I couldn’t do it because some pretty girl was giving off an aura of a maiden, which she usually doesn’t give off.

I decided to simply season the steaks with salt and pepper, and we could each choose our own sauce for the steaks afterwards.

I quickly put the steaks in a hot frying pan with olive oil.

Immediately, the savory smell of the meat cooking tickled my nostrils and whetted my appetite.

“Ooooooh, this!”

The aroma of meat is so intoxicating that I forget to turn on the ventilation fan above.

“Wow,……H-Haruki…… can eat it already!”

“I’ve only been grilling for a few seconds. I mean, why are you coming over here!”

“Because I could smell the meat.”

“I don’t believe there is such a straightforward excuse! Look, I’m going to cook it right now, so just wait over there.”

When it comes to food, this girl is quick.

Noeru kept coming back to the kitchen.
