The three of us walked for several minutes.

When we reached the top floor of the slightly dusty old school building, we finally caught sight of the club room tag.

[Bunte Gardening Club]

“Weird name as ever, isn’t it?”

“I think so too.”

“Eh, yeah!? But I like it a lot!”

The reason why the names of the club activities are like this is that there used to be a ‘Literature Club’, a ‘Handicraft Club’ and a ‘Gardening Club’ respectively, but the number of members in each of these clubs decreased.

In order to survive, they were merged and became known as this.

I Put the rusty key into the keyhole and turn it with a little force.

The club room with a very retro atmosphere was spread out when the badly built door was opened by force.

“Alright, what shall we do today?~”

Utsusugawa puts her bag on the desk and sits down on one of the many chairs.

Koyadori looked around curiously at the unfamiliar club room.

“Sit around in those places as you see fit.”

“Y-yes.”

After a moment, Koyadori sat down diagonally in front of Utsusugawa.

It can’t be helped since it’s still the first time they’ve met, but it’s full of awkwardness… Well, neither of us can read the atmosphere and we don’t have any friends, so I guess it can’t be helped.

“Well, what do you want to do? Do you want to play board games?”

“Oh, that’s good! Let’s do it!”

“Okay, here we go.”

I rummages through the bookshelves, looking for a good board game that can be played by three people.

“Let’s play this one.”

“Nice choice! All right, everybody sit down!”

I sit down at the table, and Utsusugawa and I take things out of the box.

Koyadori, who had been looking at us strangely, finally opened her mouth.

“Let’s see, …… this isn’t the Board game club, is it?”

“Yes, it is.”

“Right.”

“Just wondering, you have a literature club, a handicraft club and a gardening club, right?”

“Yeah.”

“Yeah.”

“I can’t find any books, crafts or shovels though….”

“We have shovels.”

“And a Chaco pen!”

“Why is it partially there? What is this club activity, it’s weird after all.”

In the first place, it would be a strange club activity if three club activities with different activities were merged.

“It’s fine, whatever we do. To be honest, the teachers’ opinion is that I shouldn’t do anything after that. It would be healthier and better if I played board games or something.”

“I don’t think that’s the problem ..”

Koyadori sighs and folds her arms in front of her chest.

“Oh, by the way, I’ve always wanted to ask you.”

“What?”

“Of course. The After Party Incident.”

“Oh, that.”

It’s no wonder you want to know more about it when you come to the clubroom.

It’s not something we talk about, and there aren’t many people who know the details.

“But there’s nothing to talk about, is there? It’s not a big deal.”

“It’s a big deal. Because you blew up the schoolyard.”

“Well, that’s not quite right, is it?”

It’s the story of how the Bunte Gardening Club and its members became famous.

I began to talk nostalgically, remembering half a year ago.

“You see, from the previous festival, the campfire at the night after the festival disappeared, didn’t it? It was a story of the times. So it was decided that it would be held quietly in the gymnasium, but it seems the Senpais were quite against it.”

“Every day I saw them signing petitions.”

“Even so, the campfire was cancelled in the end, and one of the Senpai who regretted it was the former head of this club.”

“Hiyori senpai, huh~ it’s nostalgic~? I wonder what she’s doing now!”

“The other day she was river fishing along the riverbed.”

“It’s too much like her!”

At this point, the conversation seems to be getting more and more about Hiyori senpai, so I’m going to return to the subject.

“Well, as you know, she’s a strange senpai, and when it got close to the school festival, she suddenly started saying ‘I’m going to set off fireworks!’ With the help of some acquaintances, she made her own fireworks. And it’s stupid big”

“Well, I felt like I was in danger, didn’t I?”

“So we set them off in the school grounds at the after-festival.”

“and it exploded.”

“Yeah.”

I really felt in danger then.

The explosion was not that powerful, so no one was hurt, but the noise was so loud that it caused quite a commotion.

“That was the night after the festival incident. It’s not that big of a deal, is it?”

“If a story about blowing up homemade fireworks isn’t a big deal, then I don’t know what is.”

Koyadori says this in a dumbfounded manner.

Well, it may be true that in the world of small schools, it was a big deal.

“Really, it was a tough time after that, wasn’t it? We were punished because we were there, and when we came back from suspension, we were treated like bombers.”

“It’s not a mistake.”

“Well, yeah, but…”

Thanks to this, the Club has been looked at with disdain, but not a single member of the club cares.

Well, to begin with, everyone has changed by the time they join a club where they don’t really understand the details of the activities. Even without this incident, I’m sure people would have looked at us strangely.

“Whatever the case, I’m glad that you didn’t detonate the bomb with malicious intent. If this had gone on, I’d be dating a terrorist.”

“No, in fact, that’s what people think.”

Between ourselves, it seems that the fact that I was involved in that incident and Koyadori are dating is thought to be a good thing amongst the oddballs.

I can even respect Koyadori, who is naturally perceived as being on the same level as the bomber.

“It would be great if no one would come near me because I have bad taste in men.”

“At this rate, though, I don’t think I’ll be approached by the same gender, let alone the opposite gender.”

“That’s …… well, I suppose it can’t be helped.”

Koyadori is only slightly shaken up.

After all, this girl just doesn’t like being approached by the opposite gender, and it doesn’t mean she dislikes socializing itself.

Koyadori also wants to make friends like a normal girl, like a high school student.

But, well, she doesn’t know how to make friends, and her feelings are not conveyed to anyone at all, so there is no way she can make friends if she just acts normally.

Yes, unless she’s really into things.

“Hey, Utsusugawa”

“W-what’s going on all of a sudden?!”

“I want you to be friends with a Koyadori.”

“E-Eeh!?”

“H-Hey, F-Fuyunose-kun, what are you suddenly talking about?!”

“What do you mean? I’m introducing you to my friend.”

“What do you—“

“C-Can I be your friend?!”

“Hee……?”

Utsusugawa interrupts Koyadori’s words and says this.

All I can do is prepare this place.

In fact, the only thing that can be done is preparing this place.

“I want a lot of beautiful girl friends! Or rather, I want to have friends in the first place. …..But, I don’t mind having a healthy friend! No, I don’t mind having an unhealthy friend… hehehe!!”

…… Oh no, I might have picked the wrong person.

“F-friends …….”

I-It seems to be resonating surprisingly well!

“Okay, Koyadori chan, let’s be friends!”

“…… If you ask me that much, it would be rude to refuse, wouldn’t it?”

“Okkee yaay yaay~!!!”

Utsusugawa leans down from her desk and hugs Koyadori.

Koyadori narrowed her eyes in embarrassment, but she didn’t seem to be in a bad mood.

“Good for you, Koyadori.”

“…. hmph.”

I couldn’t help but smile as Koyadori looked away.

Although I wanted to scold her and ask her what kind of friends she made, I thought anything would be fine if she could.
