Episode 23 

“See you after school then.”

“Yeah. See you then.”

With that, I got out of the car driven by Miki san on the side of the school today, and after seeing off Kohime, I started walking toward my classroom.

A month has passed since I heard about her being bullied, but she has been able to attend school without any problems.

It seems that the bullying has not stopped, but when I told her that she was not responsible for the bullying, she seemed to have gained her courage and was able to endure the bullying.

As the one who said it, I’m too embarrassed and would like her to forget it, but if she is getting courage from those words, I guess it’s fine.

Today, about two and a half months have passed since I met Kohime and we have been able to build a good relationship as friends.

When I came back to school after being hit by a car, I was worried about how I would spend my time in the classroom with my ex-girlfriend, Sumika, but she spoke to me a little at first and after that we never had a conversation or made eye contact and I was able to enjoy a comfortable school life.

I arrived at the classroom with anxiety and opened the door and entered the classroom.

While we were having this conversation, a classmate of mine, Ijima Remi, came to me.

Iijima is petite, friendly and approachable like a small animal, but she has a passionate heart and when she sees her friends being humiliated or sad, she can’t leave them alone.

I had conversed with Iijima a few times when I was dating Sumika, but had never spoken to her after I broke up with Sumika.

Even so, the reason why she came to me is definitely because of the false rumors that Sumika spread.

“Is it true that you tried to forcefully attack Sumika?”

Sumika, who was at the tip of Iijima’s finger, was holding her face with both hands and wiping away her tears.

I was slapped on the cheek by Iijima with real force.

“No girl would ever shed a tear over a lie ! You’re disgusting.”

With that, Iijima returned to Sumika.

Iijima’s slap didn’t make the matter go away…..and the rumor spread through the school at the speed of light, and the only people who stood by me were Kento and Hanai.
