While waiting for Ryuujin to show up at the Adventurers’ Guild, Catherine asked the guild staff what they knew about him.

This man—said to be 16 years old, so perhaps “boy” would be a better description of his age–he had registered as an adventurer three years earlier, but had been doing nothing more than picking medicinal herbs.

He was 13 years old at the time of registration, so perhaps it was natural for him to be so, but there was also the fact that for some reason his level had never risen from 1. He was despised among adventurers as incompetent because his level was always 1 and he had no class (job function) or skills.

However, he had been there for three years and worked diligently every day, even as a herb picker, and his timid but polite and gentle personality did not give the staff a bad impression of him.

The guild employees were all sympathetic to Ryuujin, saying that the previous Guild Master had treated him badly.

However, Ryuujin has changed since he participated in a recent dungeon raid and was left behind.

Originally, he was only gathering medicinal herbs, but he suddenly joined a raid, apparently because he was tricked into it.

The raid ended in failure after being chased away by a dragon in the depths of the dungeon, but at that time, the raid adventurers apparently escaped using this boy as a decoy.

They cut the boy’s leg muscles to prevent him from escaping and left him behind with a self-destruct rock disguised as a boundary stone. It’s a terrible story.

Catherine thought that the adventurers who participated in the raid should be punished….but the adventurers who participated in the raid have all disappeared from the town for some reason.

There are rumors that Ryuujin killed them out of revenge, but how could an F-rank adventurer kill C- and B-rank adventurers one after another? No, of course not.

Rumors are not reliable. Perhaps the adventurers felt bad that Ryuujin had returned alive, or perhaps they were afraid and left the city for fear of being pursued for their crimes.

Later, Ryuujin took and passed a rank advancement examination, but for some reason his registration rank remained at “F,” the first rank a novice is certified at.

He passed the exam without any problems, and in fact,Ryuujin alone beat several C- and B-ranked adventurers.

So why is he still an “F”? When she asked Leila why, she told her that Ryu’s rank was actually G when he registered, and that even after passing the exam, former Guild Master Daniel had insisted that he be allowed only one rank upgrade.

Hearing this story, Catherine was puzzled. She thought that if he had passed the exam and had the ability to defeat a B-rank party, he should have been allowed at least an E-rank, if not a B.

After that, Daniel further prohibited Ryuujin from accepting requests, and also prohibited him from purchasing materials. (The reason for the punishment was not clear. Daniel said that it was because Ryuujin was hiding things from him, or because he was a coward, or some other unintelligible thing.)

When the boy was unable to buy the materials from the Adventurers’ Guild, he went to the Commercial Guild.

As a result, all the precious dragon materials were seized by the Commercial Guild. This was a huge loss for the Adventurers’ Guild.

What’s more, the Commercial Guild has started issuing requests to adventurers to collect materials, probably because Ryuujin is prohibited from accepting requests.

Since there were no adventurers left to hunt dragons, it was only natural for the Commercial Guild to start securing them.

Soon after, other adventurers were offered better conditions than those offered by the Adventurers’ Guild, and all of them joined the Commercial Guild, leading to the current situation.

Daniel asked Ryuujin to move up in rank, but Ryuujin was not interested. Ryuujin is said to be completely bent out of shape over the guild’s treatment of him, and is refusing to move up in rank.

If you listen to the story, that reaction is natural.

However, Daniel, the man in question, has already been severely punished. Hearing this, Ryuujin will probably ease his anger. It may take some time to get him to trust them completely, but that is something they can work on positively in the future.

For now, Catherine instructed the staff—not only the receptionist, but also all the staff and the few adventurers who were still coming and going to show Ryuujin to the Guild Master’s office when he showed up—-

if this is the case, there will be no misunderstandings.

But…..

Ryuujin did not show up for a long time.

Ryu had recently stopped showing up at the Adventurer’s Guild.

He was probably busy with a commission from a commercial guild, Catherine thought.

It was only natural that Ryuujin would give up on the Adventurers’ Guild after hearing about the former Guild Master’s past behavior.

Having no choice, Catherine sent someone to Ryuujin’s house to tell him that the guild had summoned him to come.

Even so……

After all, no matter how long it took, Ryuujin never came !

She got numb and tried to pick up the guild official in person,

[He was busy.] [Don’t call me up like a big shot without considering my availability.]

She was told that.

He has turned against the Adventurers’ Guild to such an extent……

……This is bad ! !

This is a very bad situation.
