Having defeated the boss monster, a stairway to the next level appears at the back of the room.
Storing the dragon’s corpse in the subspace, Ryu proceeded onward.
The room down the stairs has a magic circle for dungeon escape, and no monsters can enter this room.
There were several more levels beyond that, and vicious monsters such as trolls, ogres, and minotaurs appeared. The boss monsters were all high-ranked dangerous monsters, including their higher and mutated species.
Of course, no matter how many high-ranked dangerous monsters appeared, they would only die instantly in front of Ryu after being drained of their magic stone.
(With Ryu’s strength, he could have won the dungeon with a meat-and-blood fight, but it was too easy for him to pull out the magic stone and not stop.)
Finally, at the bottom level, the boss monster of the entire dungeon was the Hydra.
Hydra is a multi-headed dragon monster, also known as a poisonous dragon. Its venom is said to be so vicious that it can kill even gods, and it also has tremendous healing powers.
And although this hydra is a dragon, it is either unintelligent or too ferocious, or perhaps both, and it did not obey Ryuujin, and a battle ensued.
To avoid being poisoned to death, Ryuujin is considered immune to all poisons, so Hydra’s vicious poison was not a particular problem.
As in previous boss battles, he first tried to pull out the magic stone, but to his surprise, Hydra immediately regenerated it. (In a way, it could be said to be a tasty opponent from whom we could retrieve the magic stone again and again.)
According to a theory, Hydra is said to die if all of its heads are cut off at the same time, but in reality, that is not enough to kill it. In the end, all the heads regenerate.
Not only do they regenerate, but the severed heads are split in two and regenerate, resulting in an increase in the number of heads. And the speed of regeneration is unusually fast. While one head is cut off and another is cut off, the previously cut off head is regenerated. And each time, the number of heads increases. The more heads it has, the more poisonous breath it spits out from its mouth. Moreover, its movements are so fast that ordinary humans cannot keep up with it, even though it does not match its huge body.
However, Ryu has the “magic sword Fragarach,” which has the ability to inhibit regeneration. With Fragarach in his hands, Ryu cuts off one of Hydra’s heads with a single blow. While an ordinary steel sword would not even scratch the Hydra’s hard scales, Fragarach has one of the strongest cuts in the world.
However, although the head does not regenerate from the place where it was cut, the other remaining head bites off the cut head from a part closer to the root, and two heads regenerate from there.
Ryu is curious as to whether there is a way to deal with the unhealed wounds caused by Fragarach. It is a very difficult opponent.
In the end, Ryu’s time acceleration ability was put to full use. As Ryu deviated from the effects of time flow, the flow of time around him slowed down. When its ability is demonstrated to its highest level, time comes to a standstill.
In the suspended time, all heads were cut off. Since all the heads were cut off at the same time by the recovery-inhibiting sword, they would not be able to bite off and revive. But the poisonous dragon, this time, used its own claws to cut off the heads. An opponent that cannot talk, but is actually intelligent?
Ryu hurriedly stopped time again and also cut off the regenerated neck and the arm with the claw attached. Just to be safe, he also cut off the hind legs.
But when he moved time, he found that it was only the torso, but of course it was still alive. And then it started spitting out breath. He’s unsure how it spits out the breath or its physical structure, but the breath blows out from the section of the neck, and the severed surface is burned, which causes the neck to regenerate again.
Ryu cut off the regenerated head, removed the magic stone, and cut up the body into pieces, finally succeeding in defeating the poisonous dragon.
It was quite a troublesome opponent. It was probably too much for ordinary adventurers to handle, even if they were A-ranked. It might be possible for S-rank adventurers, of which there are only a dozen or so in the world……Ryu had never met an S-rank adventurer, so he couldn’t say for sure, but he was sure that even an S-rank adventurer would have a tough time.
At the present time, it would be next to impossible to break through this dungeon.

After defeating the dungeon boss, he checked his surroundings with his spatial awareness and found a small room at the far end of the back wall.
There was no entrance, so he slashed at the wall with his magical sword Fragarach, and the wall cracked and crumbled to pieces.
Inside was a pedestal on which lay a melon-sized sphere half buried in the pedestal. This is the nucleus of the dungeon.
If this nucleus is destroyed or taken away, the dungeon dies and becomes just a cave.
Ryu took the dungeon core in his hand and stored it in subspace.
The dungeon as a resource would be gone, but since the lord had also ordered its destruction in the first place, there was no problem.
The materials are in large quantities in Ryu’s subspace storage. Just by taking small portions of them, there will be no shortage of materials for distribution again for the time being.
On the scale of this city, buying just a few dragon materials would be beyond the budget. However, there are still more than a hundred dragons and the materials of Hydra, the dungeon boss, stored in Ryu’s subspace storage.
Although he will no longer be able to hunt in the dungeon, he will be able to sell them in small quantities and will have no trouble distributing the materials for the foreseeable future.
In fact, from his recent hunts and the sale of the materials, Ryu had already earned enough money to live without working for the rest of his life.

― ― ― ― ― ― ― ―.
Ryu returned to the Adventurers’ Guild and reported that he had trudged through the dungeon and that Big and the other “Red Meteor” had died in the dungeon.
When a staff member heard the report, he rushed to call Daniel, the Guild Master, and a commotion broke out.
Daniel [Ryu, you can’t be serious ! You didn’t kill Big and the others, did you?!]
Ryu [That’s terrible, when you said I was left behind you refused to admit it saying I had no proof, and now you’re saying I did it without any proof?]
Daniel [……You have no proof that you didn’t do it either.]
Ryu [Prove I didn’t do it? How? First of all, can you provide proof that you yourself didn’t kill Big and the others?]
Daniel [….Damn you, don’t be so cryptic.]
Daniel gave up and retreated to his office.
