When I arrived at school as usual in the morning, I found two girls peeking inside in front of the Class 3 classroom, looking for something.
Needless to say, it is Sasagawa.
It’s been a week since she started working part-time.
I have seen her peeking into class 3 every day since that day.
I pass behind her with a casual look on my face and enter the classroom of Class 1, my own class.
“Hey Ken. It’s a beautiful day today~”
I sit down at my desk and Rikuto starts talking to me.
I can smell the sweat wiping sheets, probably from the end of morning practice.
“Well, summer is coming soon. I mean, there’s nothing but summer and winter these days.”
“I agree with that. I mean, listen to me. I had an interview yesterday.”
Apparently, Rikuto was told various things by his homeroom teacher during the two-person interview.
It’s not enough just to work hard at club activities.
He was told to get a high score on the next test, and he was still looking a little sluggish after the first night.
“Ken, be careful. Sensei has no mercy.”
Since my turn was just today, I decided to keep Rikuto’s opinion in the back of my mind.
After school, I was hungry, so I went to cafeteria to get some bread before my appointment.
On the way back to the classroom, I see Ayaka.
It was supposed to be time for club activities, but she was still in her school uniform and looked like she was frantically searching for something.
“Are you looking for something?”
I was curious, so I asked Ayaka.
Ayaka looks surprised for a moment, but soon returns to her usual glaring face.
“Nothing. I’m not looking for anything.”
“Why don’t you go to club activities even though you have nothing to do?”
Ayaka has this kind of attitude toward me, but she looks good on the outside.
She’s not the kind of person who skips club activities.
“It’s none of your business. Leave me alone.”
She stuck out her tongue and ran away.
There’s definitely something going on, but if she says not to worry about it, there’s no need to chase her.
(I guess there’s no reason for me to help her)
I left the place and went to the classroom.
While I was in the library studying and killing time until my interview, the girl in the class in front of me came to call me.
“Well then, stay safe. Mitsui kun.”
Fuyusaki, who was sitting across from me, looked me over.
The reason why Fuyusaki is there is because her turn is after me.
“Why do you look so happy?”
“Well? I wonder why.”
Ignoring Fuyusaki, who is smiling, I leave the library and head for my classroom.
On the way, Hananoi comes out of Class 6’s classroom.
It seems that the interview has just finished.
Hananoi notices me and starts talking to me.
“Now?”
“Yeah. Are you finished?”
“Well. I’ve undecided on my future.”
“You’re not going to college?”
“Even if I don’t go to school, I can leave home.”
“That’s true. Well then. Have a safe trip home.”
“What’s that?”
Hananoi smiled at the words I said somehow.
I was not aware of anyone coming out of the other classes, so I walked up to the front of the first class room.
It didn’t make any sense, but I took a deep breath and opened the door.
