“And why bother to go all the way out of town……?”
Sol muttered to himself. The letter said it was a short walk from the entrance to the city of Ephor.
It was late at night. Once you step out of the city, it’s a slightly dangerous place where there are still monsters, even though they have decreased due to the demon king’s subjugation.
However, Odie was only weak compared to Carla, but in general, he was a strong man. That may be why he dared to choose a place where no one would stop by at night.
Sol was genuinely thinking that way.
“Oh, great! you really came here alone!”
The moment he heard that voice from behind him, Sol turned around as quickly as he could and released an explosive magic. The owner of the voice raised the ground to form a wall to guard against the magic.
Behe was visible through the gap in the wall that was collapsing after being hit by the explosion magic.
“Why are you ……?”
“I’m the one who sent the letter! I didn’t think you would really come alone.”
“Ha? Why did you ……?
I don’t have time for this. Overblast!”
Sol once again unleashed a powerful blast magic, this time with a wider range. But again, it was blocked by Behe’s defensive magic. The wide range of the attack hit him a little, but the damage was negligible if he used defensive magic.
Sol thought frantically. He really wanted to call Celes and the others, but he did not want to turn Ephor into a battlefield with children. However, Sol’s strongest weapon, fire magic, could do little damage. The only magic that could inflict damage was blasting magic and physical attack magic.
It was all right. The only thing he hasn’t experienced is defeating the Demon King, so there may be a difference between him and the other members, but he should be able to fight against behe at the estimated level of the other members.
“Rock shot!”
Behe produced countless sharp rocks and shot them at Sol. Seeing this, Sol activated his transition magic.
This is something you don’t really use in a game. And for some reason, no one had used it before Sol. But, if he could visualize the place clearly, Sol would look behind him and shift himself to the place.
“Flame Spear!”
Sol throws a flame spear at Behe. Behe tried to shield him with a wall of earth, but the spear pierced through it and grazed him in the side.
But Behe laughed at Sol’s attack.
“Great! It’s not weaker than before! His movements are the same!”
“Ha? What are you talking about?!”
Sol’s words made Behe look surprised.
“Eh? You don’t know? You’re …….”
“You are the only one I will never forgive.”
A familiar voice passes by next to Sol. Then she raised the sword she was holding towards Behe. Behe immediately puts out a wall to protect himself, but it is easily shattered, and the impact sends Behe flying.
In this world, attribute affinity is realistic to some extent, and swords and fists can easily shatter rocks. Otherwise, you can’t beat the Four Kings with swords and fists, and if you say it’s a game world, that’s true, but Sol thinks it’s amazing no matter how many times he sees it.
However, it was true that it was helpful that Celes came along. If he was going to fight, there was no doubt that Celes was a better match for him than he was. Sol began to buff Celes with attack and defense.
But Behe looked at Celes with a shocked look on her face.
“No way! You’re here already?! Well, I got to see what I wanted to see.”
Saying this, Behe created a sandstorm. Sol and Celes were blinded by the violent sand and wind.
“You guys, just hold them back!”
Along with such a voice, Sol heard another whimper. When the sandstorm stopped and he turned toward the voice, he saw many demons trying to enter the city.
“I won’t let you get away with this. ……!”
“Celes!!!!”
Celes was about to run off to find Behe, perhaps unaware of the demons, but Sol hurriedly grabbed her hand to stop her.
“Sol, let go of me! I have to kill Behe, I have to kill him. ……!”
“We have to protect the village first! The demons are heading toward the city!”
As soon as Celes looked towards the town in surprise, Sol let go of Celes’ hand and started to run towards the town.
As expected Ephor. Perhaps because of their past experience, they had a great ability to deal with danger. The bell rang to warn of danger, and the adults who could fight came out of their houses one after another. Carla and Lepios probably noticed something was wrong at the bell, too.
But there were many demons. If possible, Sol did not want anyone to get hurt.
After buffing himself with an attack power boost, Sol cast another spell on himself.
“Attent.”
This was a magic that he had not used at all during the gameplay of his previous life. Magic to direct the enemy’s attention to himself. But when actually fighting, it was quite useful.
The demons all turned toward Sol at once and tried to jump on him. At that moment, Sol unleashed another spell.
“Firestorm!”
At that moment, a whirlpool of flames is created around Sol. The vortex of flames instantly engulfed the demons that had gathered. Firestorm, which is a ranged magic, instantly defeats a wide range of demons.
“Celes! Take care of the rest!”
“I’ll do it!”
Of course, even though it is a ranged magic, unlike in games, it is not all-powerful. In the game, you would have been wiped out, but in this real world, if you are out of range, you could be left behind.
Even in a normal battle, Celes and Carla would individually defeat those who were left behind. Of course, it was not left up to the two of them. From behind them, Sol and Lepios also attacked with magic.
So this time, too, Sol was supposed to defeat the surviving demons with a fireball, which he could move freely and easily despite its limited magic power.
“That’s great, onii chan! Let me see it again!”
Suddenly, a child of about eight years old jumped out from behind the house. The child was blind to his surroundings. A wolf-shaped monster was about to leap toward the child.
“Look out!”
Sol hurriedly rushed toward the child and began to prepare to release the magic. But magic takes a little longer than physical attacks due to the nature of the magic that needs to be concentrated at the point where you want to release it.
“I won’t let you!”
another shadow leapt out in front of Sol and the child.
